About Marie

Accepting new patients from anywhere in Texas! Do you sometimes wonder if what you're feeling is normal? Do you wonder why you are so forgetful, why it's so hard to concentrate, or why you easily get distracted? Or maybe it's hard to get out of bed in the morning, you lack the motivation to participate in life anymore, and you can sometimes be tearful for no reason? Is it hard to fall asleep at night or do you wake up multiple times which leaves you feeling exhausted the next day? Have you experienced trauma that has left you feeling anxious and on edge? You do not have to go through these challenges alone! I would like to help. My focus areas are ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders but I treat all mental health conditions. Each individual has a unique past, present, and future. I do not believe in prescribing or treating in a "one size fits all" fashion. I value input and feedback from my patients. I am currently only accepting adult patients. I am open-minded, holistic, and solution-oriented. My hope is that patients leave their appointment feeling like their concerns have been heard and fully addressed, they were respected and not judged, they have a clear understanding of their treatment plan, and have a more hopeful outlook for their future. *Specialties •Psychiatry *Conditions treated •Depression •Anxiety •Bipolar disorders •PTSD •ADHD •Eating disorders •Personality disorders •Addiction •Geriatric Psychiatry •Insomnia •Anger Management •Female Psychiatry •Mood disorders •Obsessive-Compulsive •Pediatric Psychiatry •Trauma and PTSD •OCD •Substance abuse •Schizophrenia •Behavioural Therapy •Learning disabilities •Medication Management •Antisocial Personality •Borderline Personality (BPD) •Impulse Control Disorders •Oppositional Defiance (ODD) *Treatment philosophy I believe in treating patients holistically, taking into consideration mental, physical, environmental, and social factors. What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?

People considering working with me should know that I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care. I approach each person holistically, considering mental, physical, social, and environmental factors in creating a treatment plan that’s as unique as they are. I believe in a collaborative process, valuing input and feedback to ensure the care you receive feels meaningful and respectful. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, respected, and more hopeful about your path forward. I’m open-minded, solution-focused, and prioritize a non-judgmental, culturally sensitive environment where you can freely share your experiences.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?

I help clients with anxiety through a personalized approach that combines medication management and therapeutic techniques. After an initial assessment, I may introduce medication to manage symptoms, along with therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to build coping skills. I maintain open communication to make adjustments as needed, aiming to reduce anxiety and empower clients to feel more in control.

How do you work with clients with depression?

When working with clients experiencing depression, I focus on creating a tailored approach that may include medication management as part of their comprehensive care plan. I start with a thorough assessment to understand the specific nature and severity of the symptoms, taking into account any unique aspects of the client’s health, lifestyle, and goals. I aim to select medications that align well with the client's needs, and I provide detailed information on how each medication works, its potential benefits, and any side effects to expect. Throughout treatment, I maintain open communication, encouraging clients to share their experiences with the medication. This feedback helps me make any necessary adjustments to the dosage or type of medication, ensuring the treatment remains effective and tolerable. Additionally, I integrate supportive therapies, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), to enhance the effects of medication, helping clients develop coping skills and build resilience alongside their pharmacological treatment. My goal is to empower clients to feel confident in their treatment plan and experience noticeable improvements in their mood, motivation, and overall well-being.

How can you provide care remotely?

I provide care remotely by offering virtual appointments for adult patients across Texas. This allows you to access mental health support from the comfort of your own home, making it easier to fit therapy or psychiatric care into your schedule without needing to travel. Through secure video or phone sessions, we can address your concerns, develop a personalized treatment plan, and work together on strategies to manage symptoms and improve your overall well-being.
