About Morgan

Hi, I'm Morgan! I'm a Philly-based clinician with a background in Art Therapy & Counseling. I provide individual therapy to adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, negative thinking, and struggles with self-esteem and body image. Therapy is a safe way to explore prominent themes of identity, relationships, and gain a deeper understanding of our internal experiences. As a queer clinician, I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals to explore prominent themes of identity while processing experiences with discrimination, gender dysphoria, questioning, and interpersonal conflicts. I apply an integrative approach based on the client’s individualized needs, implementing tenants of Art Therapy, Feminist Theory, Internal Family Systems Model, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-F CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I aim to create an open, warm, and non-judgmental environment while promoting insight and self-empowerment!

About Me

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?

Becoming a therapist was a cultivation of my own life, my values, and my own experience having family and friends who suffered from Mental Health issues. My preferred theoretical orientation is an integrative approach cultivated from my clinical experience, professional identity, and intersectionality. As an LGBTQIA+ clinician, my identity has shaped my worldview, highlighting my theoretical orientation in a culturally sensitive, feminist, person-centered framework, while actively working toward antiracist and anti-oppressive care.
