Therapists in Apple Valley, CA

I am a veteran, proud father of two, emergency nurse, and board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner providing mental health services with a focus on postpartum mothers, healthcare workers, & veterans. I take an integrative approach, focusing on all of the lifestyle factors that play a role in one's mental health — diet, movement, sleep, caffeine intake, and associated medical problems. I prefer an outcome-focused approach. I believe we are all capable of achieving remarkable things; I choose to focus on the goals of my patients— who they want to become— rather than dwelling on problems. If you’re a new mother facing postpartum depression or anxiety, a veteran adjusting to life after service, a healthcare provider feeling burnt out, or anyone simply needing support, please reach out. We can work together to understand what you’re going through and get you the help you deserve.

After 20 yrs in the legal field I decided I wanted to help people on a deeper level and not just be the band-aid for their problems.

I worked as a board-certified psychiatric nurse with adults for 15 years in various settings before becoming a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). In 2024, I completed my Doctorate in Nursing Practice and received my NP104 for Independent Practice as a PMHNP in February 2026. My experience as an RN includes working in adult psychiatric inpatient units, emergency rooms, and electroconvulsive therapy departments in several major healthcare facilities in the Los Angeles area, including Cedars Sinai, UCLA, Huntington Hospital, and Glendale Adventist Medical Center. As a PMHNP-BC, I worked for Tarzana Treatment Centers and outpatient psychiatric practices. In our first session together, we will start with introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. We will work towards establishing some short-term and long-term goals for treatment and treatment outcomes. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Our practice is committed to providing cultural competency in the care that we provide. We work with all populations. We take pride in providing ethical care for all. Spanish services available.

I am a friend, a sister, and a daughter of immigrants, born and raised in the ‘burbs of LA. I am a firm believer of approaching life with a strong sense of humor and an even stronger cup of boba. In my role as a therapist, I am most motivated by the resiliency of my clients and draw inspiration from my own lived experiences. Life shouldn’t feel so tough. When challenges arise, my goal is to empower my clients to live more meaningful, present-focused, and value-driven lives. I achieve this by tailoring sessions to meet the unique needs of my clients with the help of evidenced based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and various other modalities. I have experience working with individuals who live with anxiety, depression, and past trauma, and enjoy helping my clients navigate through the struggles of everyday life. I have worked with people from all walks of life, with the bulk of my experience in community mental health working with at-risk youth. My clients are welcome as they are, whoever they are. I approach therapy with a collaborative and non-judgmental stance in which clients can be their most true and authentic selves. I will walk with and support my clients in their journey to healing, growth, and to living their best lives.
