How does medication management work, and what does the process look like?
Medication management is a collaborative process designed to ensure that treatment is safe, effective, and tailored to each patient's unique needs. During the initial evaluation, I take time to understand your symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and treatment goals before discussing whether medication may be beneficial. If medication is recommended, we'll review your options, expected benefits, possible side effects, and answer any questions you may have so you can make informed decisions about your care. Follow-up appointments allow us to monitor your progress, assess how you're responding to treatment, make adjustments if needed, and ensure you're getting the greatest benefit with the fewest side effects. My goal is to provide ongoing support while combining medication management with education, healthy coping strategies, and other evidence-based treatments to promote long-term mental wellness.
