I value the connection and trust necessary for a therapeutic relationship to feel comfortable, successful and productive. I strive to help my clients feel safe to share honestly while offering validation and accountability for opportunities of growth, empowerment, and skill-building. We work together to identify origins of problematic or maladaptive beliefs and patterns of behavior in order to confront and replace them. With compassion, patience and empathy, I assist clients in gaining effective coping skills, setting healthy boundaries, implementing positive lifestyle choices, and improving decision-making strategies. I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Psychology and Biology and a Master of Science Degree (MS) in Professional Counseling. I have experience in a variety of settings including the school setting, partial hospitalization program and outpatient therapy. I am a fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I am a supervisor to Limited Licensed Professional Clinicians as well, providing guidance during their education and building experience in the field.  Making the decision to begin therapy is often not an easy one, I work to ensure a cathartic experience of healing and progress.
