What is your experience with clients with family conflict issues?
Family issues exist in the everyday functioning of the family system as a whole. While one person may be considered to be "the one with problems" the entire family system somehow plays a role in maintaining the issue(s). I work on strengthening the family system to help families recognize where the real problem is (instead of them fishing around for/or guess-gaming/mis-targeting the problem) so that they can pour in their energies and resources towards the real target- not a person in the family, but the REAL problem.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of Family Matters Behavioral Health Services (FMBHS) with 12 + years of experience in the mental health field. My clients come in with varied concerns- parenting challenges, infidelity in marriage, coping with psychological disorders and seek to enhance resiliency, to be able to overcome obstacles through application of skills that they learn in their therapeutic process with me. I offer specialized services for children and parents/caretakers that are fighting behavioral and emotional problems. They move through their therapeutic journey empowering themselves with the ability to navigate through life challenges. To accommodate busy families I offer evening and Saturday appointments so you don't have to worry about your children missing school. Together we'll create a customized plan to get your child back on track.
