Heidi Womack

Occupational Therapist OTR, MOT
Online & In-Person
Hi! I’m Heidi Womack, founder of Happy Horizons Therapy, PLLC.  I’ve been a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for 17 wonderful years and LOVE what I do. I firmly believe that every child has greatness and that they are capable of living their happiest, most fulfilling life. I am here to not only help your child achieve their developmental milestones, but to also be a new support system for you and your family.  My role with you and your child extends beyond the term “therapist” into that of coach, cheerleader, advocate, helper, and teacher.  My goal is for you to feel fully supported within the therapy experience, and for your child to feel successful in their ability to play, socialize, move, talk, eat, dress, write, and so much more!  For the children who struggle in one or more of these areas, and for the parents who might be frustrated or overwhelmed, I understand.  I have been in your shoes. I am here to help. You are not alone! I have specialized training to assist your child with deficits in the following areas: * Fine motor skills * Visual motor integration skills (eye-hand coordination) * Visual perceptual skills  * Gross motor/Motor development skills * Sensory Processing/Sensory Integration * Feeding difficulties * Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorder * Developmental delays * Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) * Strength/Endurance/Range of Motion * School Readiness skills (pre-writing, scissor skills) * Handwriting Remediation * Dyslexia * Bilateral coordination * Social Emotional Regulation * Infant Motor Development * Feeding Disorders/Picky Eating * Attention/Concentration/ADHD * Planning and organization

Katie Piercy

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (Supervised by Leigh Rainwater LPC-S)
Online Therapy
While I am recently licensed in Texas, I have extensive experience working as a counselor in both England and Scotland, where I did my counseling training. I received my Doctorate in Psychotherapy and Counseling from the University of Edinburgh. My doctoral thesis was on my work counseling clients who experienced grief after a pregnancy loss. Therapy is a truly personal experience. Therapy is not something done to a person, but rather it is created by the persons involved. In my work, I listen to how life's struggles are real for you. That is, what makes them personal. By staying with you and holding all that you bring, I hope to support the growth of this personal process. Facing distressing feelings requires trust and commitment from both client and counselor. Whatever your struggle, I offer you a safe, confidential space where I come alongside you, without judgement, in your attempts to better hear from and understand yourself. My passion is helping others to feel more aware of and compassionate within themselves, their lives, and their relationships. My approach to therapy is based in person centered and psychodynamic psychotherapy. What this means is that I work with clients in an interpersonal way, helping them to explore themselves, their current and past relationships, and unconscious blocks that prevent them from having the life and the relationships they desire. My practice is informed by neurobiology, and I strongly believe that therapy helps you to regulate your nervous system. A regulated/adaptive nervous system improves your mental and your physical health and is protective against chronic illness and mental health disorders. I don’t simply provide advice or quick fixes, instead I offer a space to talk about pain and where it may have originated, granting us insight into patterns of behavior which may have been useful in the past that now may be actually getting in the way of your health. I welcome all to my practice and believe that anyone - regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, spiritual belief, or economic standing – is valuable and I seek to provide the best care to all I see.
