Hello! I’m Janice Cahambing, a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in adult and geriatric care as well as psychiatric care for individuals of all ages. I am passionate about helping people understand and manage their health conditions, both acute and chronic. I have a strong background in patient and family education, making sure everyone is informed and comfortable throughout the treatment process. Effective communication is key, and I pride myself on being approachable and attentive to the needs of my patients and their families. My career has allowed me to work in various settings, including primary care, urgent care, and psychiatric care. Whether it's through telemedicine or in-person visits, I'm here to provide comprehensive and compassionate care. In addition to clinical practice, I focus on preventative care, helping patients maintain their health and prevent future issues. My goal is to create a supportive environment where we can address any challenges together and find solutions that work best for you. TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I provide compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on education, communication, and prevention. My goal is to empower individuals to manage their health while creating a supportive, collaborative environment for optimal well-being.

Hello and bienvenue! I work with a diverse clientele and specialize in providing social justice oriented psychotherapy to people of color, as well as members of LGBTQIA+ communities. I provide culturally responsive therapy, which focuses on the strengths that you already have. I tend to use an Interpersonal Process theoretical approach (IPT) as well as a cognitive-behavioral theoretical approach (CBT) while also paying attention to your environment and access to social support. I work with you to build a safe space where you can share your experiences without the fear of being judged, and where you can focus on becoming clear about what you want, and how you want to go about making that happen. I believe that it is important to build a strong therapeutic relationship, as well as paying close attention to what is happening for you in-the-moment. I find it helpful to work to understand the different values and beliefs that we bring into the room, and how these worldviews might affect our interactions with each other. Understanding how your thoughts are related to your behaviors can empower and help you to actively account for your reality. You can use this insight to make the changes that will be necessary to live life more healthily.

I am passionate about helping others be who they truly are and to recognize their gifts. I believe that “perspective is everything” and our thoughts and the way we look at things and the world create our reality. I also live by the belief that “nothing changes until I step out of my comfort zone and do something different.”

I’ve always carried a deep desire to help people. My first career law enforcement. However, it did not really allow me to really dig in with individuals and help them make changes so they were not continuing the same cycles over and over. I returned to school and pursued my education in behavioral science and then mental health counseling, graduating with my Master’s degree in 2013. I've treated clients in residential treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, community mental health, and in a low to high security, all male state prison. I've worked with individuals from every walk of life. As a therapist and human being I’m always motivated to learn and grow. One of my passions is Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. I have been trained in and previously held certification in the Equine Assisted Growth & Education model. I also earned my EAGALA Military Services Designation to provide culturally competent services to our military members and their families. Another passion is working with our first responders, giving back to those to give so much daily.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ready to help you through challenges you are facing and/or any events in your life that have left you confused, scared, sad or hurt. I offer a mindful, evidence based, trauma-aware perspective with a down-to-earth approach. I use EMDR, ACT and CBT as some of the modalities for treatment. I strive to create safe and non-judgmental space where you can show up and be your authentic self and heal. My goal is to give you tools you can use in your life, way after therapy is over and build on your innate resilience. I am fluent in Spanish & culturally sensitive. I believe in inclusion and respect. Areas of concern I work with are: Trauma, Grief, Anxiety, Sexual Abuse, Depression & Domestic Violence. Accepting self-pay clients. As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT), Brent guides individuals on the path of healing and restoration by holding space for the trauma, loss, and hopelessness experienced while facing compulsive sexual behavior, porn addiction, infidelity and betrayal. Brent is also trained in Brainspotting (BSP), BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) for quickly treating trauma, anxiety, depression and most mental health challenges.
