For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Therapy is intimidating and daunting before you begin. The hardest part is starting and finding someone you just click with. Once that happens, you'll wish you had started sooner. Therapy can be a transformative experience when it is with the right person and when you feel safe.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Many people feel apprehensive about seeking therapy, and it's completely normal to have doubts or reservations. Mental health struggles are more common than you might think, and there are countless others who have been in your shoes and found therapy to be immensely beneficial. Therapists are trained to be empathetic and understanding, and their primary goal is to support you in your journey toward healing and personal growth. Therapy isn't a one-size-fits-all solution, and it's perfectly okay to approach it at your own pace. You have the autonomy to decide what feels comfortable for you, whether that means starting with a few sessions to test the waters or taking breaks when needed. Working with a therapist can provide you with practical strategies, coping skills, and insights that you can apply to navigate life's challenges more effectively. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal development, therapy can equip you with the tools you need to thrive.
I am a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a strong commitment to supporting individuals on their journey to emotional wellness. With three years of experience in the field, I have worked with diverse populations facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lynn University, where I received specialized training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). My education has equipped me with the necessary skills to provide effective and personalized treatment to my clients. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. My approach to counseling is client-centered and collaborative, meaning that I work closely with my clients to identify their goals and develop tailored treatment plans to help them achieve lasting positive change.
