How can you provide care remotely?
In the telehealth space, there are all kinds of tools at our disposal. Creating space and pausing on important questions can be really powerful for clients. Noticing and drawing a client's attention back to a significant statement that they made can also be really useful. When working with couples and families, sometimes I will ask the clients to bring their focus away from their argument with each other and turn their attention towards my face on the video screen so that we can interrupt a negative cycle and try new, reparative behaviors. There is a lot of room for flexibility and creativity in the space provided by phone or video conferencing.
I have talked with many people who have tried every solution they can think of to bring relief to areas of life that feel stuck. I would love to sit down with you and discover what that has been like for you. Together we can work through the dynamics, emotions, and thoughts that have been the cause of such hurt or difficulty and bring a greater sense of peace and control. My focus is to listen deeply to my clients, bring awareness to their needs, and find a path toward positive change in meeting those needs. Whether I'm working with individuals, couples, or families, I help each person find their voice and understand themselves better. I have a demonstrated track record for increasing insight, deepening emotional awareness, and responding to people with sensitivity and empathy. It is my heartfelt desire to come alongside individuals, couples, and families helping to unlock a variety of life's challenges. ** I offer in-person sessions (with precautions per Los Angeles County guidance). I also offer services by video or phone. **

How can you provide care remotely?
Absolutely! In fact, currently, due to the pandemic, I am exclusively offering therapy through my completely confidential and secure video chat portal.
Especially for some of the most successful among us, we can hold ourselves to the highest standards of performance in all areas. Sometimes we may feel that we're supposed to have all the answers to the challenges life throws our way, even when that isn’t always possible. For so many, an achievement focus can come at the expense of other areas of our lives. I see therapy as a collaborative experience. I work with my clients to help unlock what holds them back to gain an understanding of how our histories shape our present, while building a foundation of skills in the here-in-now to promote healing and a future that is self-defined. My approach is solution-focused and uses elements of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy to identify and build on your strengths. As a Substance Abuse Specialist, I help individuals including young adults transform their relationships with substances and behaviors that feel out of control. Therapy should be a process that makes us feel free to be fully ourselves. To heal and enliven us to be authentically, beautifully, and powerfully exactly who we are, unbound by what has in the past, held us back. Let's work together to find strength, meaning, healing, and freedom so you can define your own path. It's time to be free and come alive again. Let’s do it together.
