How can you provide care remotely?
I have nearly a decade of experience in psychiatric care, focusing on a client-centered approach where your needs guide the treatment plan. I’m compassionate, a careful listener, and committed to tailoring care to help you achieve your goals. Whether through therapy, medication, or other interventions, I collaborate with you every step of the way.
Regarding my professional background- I have been an RN since 2014 and specialized in Psych since 2016. I have also been a mental health nurse practitioner since 2022. My past occupational experience consist of working with developmentally delayed children, clients struggling with mental illness concurrent with substance use, clients with personality disorders, assisting clients that have suffered through narcissistic abuse, and clients experiencing acute psychotic disorders. My care and treatment are strictly client centered so I determine the best treatment plan and outcome depending on my client’s needs.I listen carefully to your needs, and work with you to set up the best treatment plan (whether that's med management, psychotherapy, utilizing CBT techniques, weight management, etc). Services offered: Weight management, Assessing, diagnosing, and treating ADHD, med management and CBT techniques to conquer symptoms of depression/anxiety/OCD symptoms, med management for clients battling substance use disorders, helping clients understand personality disorders, offer gene testing to determine best medication option for clients, managing acute disorders, letters for occupation, clearance letters, leave of absence for clients struggling with mental health. I offer psychotherapy along with possibility of med management depending on the client's request. TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I provide as much sessions needed to get thorough information in order to ensure that my clients will get the best possible treatment. My care is client centered focused so I go with my client's flow and the client is involved in all decision making. I also teach CBT techniques or psychotherapy once it applies.

What is online therapy, and what do I need?  Online therapy is very similar to in-person therapy, but we connect online via a safe and secure video platform. You can join your home, a safe, private work environment (office), or some clients connect in their cars. I used a HIPAA secure and compliant video platform to protect your confidentiality/privacy from my home office. To have a tremendous online therapy experience, you must have a private/quiet/uninterrupted “session hour” where you can openly talk and explore what is going on and reliable internet and a secure device. We will discuss safety during our initial intake appointment.  What are the advantages of online therapy?  Online therapy provides flexibility for clients who juggle many different responsibilities. You can be in the comfort of your own home or a private location that works for you; we can still do our online therapy session. Online therapy allows you to specifically work with me, even if you live in a remote area or some distance from me. Some clients note that space and the screen provide a level of safety. Who benefits from online therapy? Online Therapy is an excellent option for clients who want to engage in therapy. However, they struggle with time constraints. It is also a great choice if clients want to work with my particular specialties and expertise.  Is online therapy for everybody?  No. Online therapy is not for everyone. Clients who struggle with severe mental health symptoms such as chronic panic attacks, self-harm, frequent suicidal thoughts, or safety concerns will be best helped by seeing a local in-person therapist. Online therapy can also be a challenge for someone who does not have internet connectivity or a safe and private place to talk.
Hi, I’m Tanya. I am a psychotherapist, but you can call me a loving, curious, exploratory, and playful cat or a heart-soul coach. Life is hard, I learned to be playful, and not take myself too seriously. I wholeheartedly believe in the importance of the healing journey.

If there was a silver lining to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is that it opened the door for people who don't live near their therapist to get therapy when it's needed without leaving their office or home. What a blessing from such a trying time! Many of my clients live throughout the State of Florida and are not near me. Through the HIPAA-compliant platform (DOXY), I provide telehealth sessions where my clients log on, I ensure that they (and me) are in a confidential place, and we talk just as we would in person. For clients who cannot go to my office or are juggling a demanding schedule, telehealth allows a bit more flexibility before work or school, during lunch, or at the end of the day.
20+ years of experience as a teacher, business owner, and mom, and now, as a therapist makes me uniquely qualified to help women and teenagers cope successfully with life's challenges. I have immense empathy for teens and women who feel alone, like they don't fit in, or are called "weird," and have worked with clients that suffered from ADHD, trauma and abuse, bullying, anxiety, depression, withdrawal, isolation, excessive absences, anger issues and recovered from the fallout of domestic violence, PTSD, and dysfunctional relationships. My passion is helping teens and women develop a stronger internal sense of self-love and self-appreciation to live a full and rewarding life.
