What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
This question is a little tricky as none of my two sessions are alike. The reason being is that every client that comes to me has unique strengths and areas they'd like to grow in. For example- I have some clients who love art while others love athletics. Both of whom process emotions and cognitions differently. For each I tailor my sessions to incorporate Compassion-Focused Therapy and Liberation Psychology to whatever the client and I have agreed to be their treatment plan- based on what works for them, and avoiding wasting time on what does not. I absolutely encourage my clients to consistently give feedback and what they like or don't, as well as what is working or isn't. In fact, it's my favorite part and usually where discover a lot of in-depth information.

What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
In "Individual Therapy" the process allows the therapist and client to speak one-on-one. Most sessions are usually 50-60 minutes. In our practice, We pride ourselves on putting our clients first and using a collaborative, non-judgmental approach to address the root of emotional or behavioral issues. Our Individual psychotherapy sessions are distinct in the following key areas because we focus on: *Building rapport and understanding expectations and goals for treatment. Collect relevant information like Family, history, Childhood experiences, *Trauma and Abuse history, Past treatment history, and other relevant information. *Peeling the onion strategy to effectively change entrenched psychological or behavioral patterns and unresolved issues to develop and build appropriate solutions and coping skills. *Work with creative methods to process and uncover the root cause of the current symptomatology. *Focus on the issues most relevant to one’s goals. *Utilize experiential (in the moment) therapeutic tools to tap into how the brain learns and exhibits behaviors and emotions. *These are just a few of the ways to describe what you can expect when working with our Sahaya Therapy psychotherapy staff.

In our therapy sessions, you can expect a relaxed and supportive space where you feel heard and valued. I tailor each session to your unique needs, so whether we're focusing on managing stress, exploring past experiences, or building new coping skills, the process is collaborative. We'll start by defining what you’d like to work on, and as we move forward, I’ll introduce tools from approaches like CBT, mindfulness, or DBT to help make real-life changes. There’s no rush; I believe in moving at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on both progress and comfort.
