Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I believe that the therapeutic process is about supporting humans in remembering, cultivating, and living into their full humanity - into who they really are. Despite the fact that life and the systems we live in make it very difficult to remember that we are already whole, worthy, and good enough, I believe that the right questions, gentle reminders, and holding sacred space can lead us to our own answers, and to the innate wisdom that lies underneath the stories that have been piled on top. As a psychotherapist and yoga teacher, I invite pain, discomfort, and repressed emotions to come to the surface and be experienced, witnessed, and let go of in a safe and nonjudgmental setting, while remaining sensitive to and curious about each of our unique lived experiences, external environments, and access to social support. When we remember, reconnect and open to the wonder and awe of who we truly are, we move out into the world wise and free. Effective therapy is not possible without a strong therapeutic relationship. Showing up to slow down, be present, and cultivate connection with oneself and others is challenging in our fast paced and technologically driven society. What I love most about my work is providing a safe space for people to connect with themselves and express their truths. This includes working to understand how your differing beliefs, lived experiences, cultural and social identities, and generational trauma interweave to manifest your daily reality and our interactions. I am deeply honored to share this space with you, and to support you in uncovering what is already within you.
Bonjour! I'm Oriane and I work with individuals and couples throughout California in both French and English. I look forward to connecting!

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to need help and not have someone there who genuinely understands your struggle. I want to be the beacon of light for those who want someone who truly understands what they are going through, and provide culturally- competent advice.
“Self-discovery is a journey that many people find themselves struggling to understand. There is a complexity to human relationships that can further complicate this journey. I want to help you find the love and the light within your relationships and self in order to help you create and mold a better YOU.” Ashley earned an undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University and an MSW from Aurora University. She is well versed in trauma and crisis therapy, and is committed to helping clients become the best version of themselves. In addition to her clinical experience, Ashley has training in happiness coaching, hypnotherapy, crisis prevention, and is a certified yoga teacher. She is also a published author and uses her book, “Writing with Love: A Guided Journal for Couples,” to help clients strengthen their relationships. In therapy, Ashley creates a warm and supportive environment and incorporates extensive therapeutic training and mindfulness into treatment plans. Her goal is to provide clients with the tools they need to move forward and grow.

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist quite by accident; I honestly thought I would focus on child welfare for many years and felt passionate about it. However, after a few years of working with children, I decided to broaden my scope and work with adults. I worked with a county agency that provided services to adults, and I was hooked. I moved to the medical field for a change in pace and continued to work with people who were experiencing mental health and substance use issues. I realized that it was so prevalent. I also realized that I wanted to work alongside people to assist them in their mental healthcare. So I decided to become a therapist, and the rest is history!

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because of an unyielding desire to connect with the essence of humanity in its most raw and authentic form. To stand in the purpose of my existence is not merely a choice but a calling—one that allows me to bear witness to the profound complexities of the human experience. As a (Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist), what sustains my commitment is the privilege of guiding others toward the discovery of their inherent strengths, enabling them to reclaim their sense of worth and embrace their truest selves. This path was not chosen lightly, nor was it shaped by fleeting trends or material pursuits. It is a testament to my own journey of resilience and transformation, a reflection of the healing power that resides within us all. To hold space for another's vulnerability, to walk alongside them in their moments of struggle and triumph, is to honor the transformative power of the human spirit. I am deeply humbled to be part of a mission greater than myself—one rooted in the belief that healing is inevitable when met with compassion. As a (Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist), I am driven by the privilege of guiding others to self-discovery and empowering them to reclaim their light. For me, this calling is and will remain unshakable, it is fueled by a purpose that transcends all forces and inspires transformation in the lives I touch. -Otasowie Lillian Osaigbovo, LCSW THE ROOM FOR THERAPY, LCSW, PLLC "Transforming Lives, One Session at a Time"
