I am an empathic, compassionate, and genuinely invested clinician who wants to empower you to regain a sense of well-being. I have over 20 years of experience working as a social worker. I offer individual counseling for adolescents to adults starting at age 14+. I work with clients struggling with career burnout, self-esteem, anxiety, grief/loss, family conflict, stress, maternal mental health, and mood regulation. I also work with caregivers who are using Maudsley FBT therapy with their adolescents experiencing an eating disorder. ​

Currently, I am serving at Florida Medical Center Group and Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital, where I perform initial psychiatric evaluations, provide follow-up consultations, diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders, and prescribe necessary medications. My goal is to ensure the overall well-being of my patients. With experience in various healthcare settings, including Southern Winds Hospital and VITAS Hospice Care, I have honed my skills in administering medications, performing assessments, and ensuring comprehensive patient care. My background also includes experience as a general doctor, endoscopist, and mental therapist, providing a broad base of medical knowledge and understanding. I am committed to offering compassionate care and support to all my patients, helping them manage their mental health and integrate into society. Whether it's through direct face-to-face interactions or understanding complex conditions, my aim is to make a positive impact on the lives of those I serve. Catherine is a Board Certified Licensed Mental Health Clinician, a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Associations [AMHCA], and a training Clinical Hypnotherapist. Most of her professional practice has been with children, adolescents and adults. Catherine received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Carlos Albizu University in Miami. Catherine is also a graduate of Florida International University. Her early work consisted of working with children in the foster care system with Kids in Distress and Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health. Catherine has worked for 10 years in community mental health programs within Miami-Dade and Broward. She has served more than a year with the Youth Emergency Services [YES] mobile crisis team post-licensure. Areas of study include Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Trauma informed interventions, Infant and Child Play Therapy, and parenting support education through the Nurturing Parenting Program. Catherine is currently employed full-time with the Florida Department of Education. She is currently working on completing licensure in Hypnotherapy with the Wellness Institute. Catherine is a follower of the AMHCA Code of Ethics and recommends that you read them here.
