How do you work with clients with ADHD?
When working with clients with ADHD, I take a supportive, practical, and individualized approach. Together, we explore how ADHD affects daily life, including focus, organization, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationships, and follow-through. I help clients build tools that are realistic and sustainable, such as improving routines, managing overwhelm, increasing self-awareness, and developing coping strategies that fit their unique strengths and challenges. I also recognize that many people with ADHD carry shame, frustration, or a long history of feeling misunderstood, so our work includes creating a compassionate space where those experiences can be understood and addressed.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing trauma-informed care empowering individuals to move beyond survival, and toward a more fulfilling, connected life. I provide services for children aged 5 and older, adolescents, and adults. I utilize an integrated approach that considers your unique needs and goals. Drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we will build practical coping skills, increase psychological flexibility, and cultivate self-compassion. Through narrative processing, we will work to assign meaning to your experiences—transforming painful or confusing chapters into integrated parts of your story. Together we will examine how past experiences influence present dynamics, allowing you to better understand yourself and respond more purposefully focusing not only on symptom relief but on deep, sustainable change.

How do you work with clients with ADHD?
When working with clients with ADHD, I take a comprehensive approach to address their unique needs. I begin by conducting a thorough assessment to understand their symptoms, challenges, and strengths. Based on this assessment, I develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include a combination of medication, therapy, and behavioral strategies. I also provide education and support to help clients and their families better understand and manage ADHD. Additionally, I utilize telehealth to offer convenient and accessible care, ensuring clients can receive support regardless of their location. Throughout the process, I maintain open communication and collaborate closely with clients to optimize their treatment and improve their overall quality of life.
I am a certified Physician Assistant and completed my master's degree at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. I have several years of experience as a Family Medicine Physician Assistant, operating as the sole medical practitioner of my outpatient community health clinic. I manage an extensive array of acute and chronic health conditions, with a significant portion of my practice dedicated to diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders ranging from mild to severe. I have a passion for ensuring that those struggling with mental health issues receive prompt and effective treatment, as I understand the substantial toll that untreated ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and other mood disorders can take on someone's life. I strive to ensure that each of my patients always feel heard and acknowledged. With mental health recognition growing over the previous decades, my healthcare goal is to continue providing further access to necessary mental health resources to those in need. This is why I utilize telehealth examinations to help remove barriers to accessing this crucial area of healthcare. As my patient, I will always aim to deliver the safest and most effective treatment plans available to improve your mental health, helping you to be the best version of yourself.
