Hi, I’m Shawnda Dewberry, LMSW. I offer a warm, supportive space for adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-doubt, trauma, anger, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. My approach blends compassion with practical tools using CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, journaling, and trauma-informed care. What makes my work unique is helping clients feel truly seen while also gently challenging patterns that keep them stuck. Clients can walk away with stronger coping skills, more self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, healthier boundaries, and greater confidence to move forward with clarity and hope.

Today's world is too often scary and overwhelming. For many of us, learning to function & adapt in life as a child, teen or young adult is confusing & difficult. These challenges lead to feeling lonely, frustrated or hopeless. Through our work together, you will become confident in yourself, begin to not just 'get by', but thrive. You will begin to experience a life where being you is more than good enough. Unavoidable challenges become opportunities & you gain control of the most important area, yourself. Working together, you will become equipped to navigate day to day life & the unexpected, emerging stronger, smarter & happier. I am passionate about helping children, teens & young adults understand their emotions through play therapy & cognitive behavior therapy, within a family systems approach. I have valuable experience helping children and families deal with grief, behavioral issues, stress, depression, trauma, & school-related issues. Working with Wellspring Therapeutic Partners means I regularly consult with our team of prescribers and psychologists who specialize in a variety of areas. I can provide seamless referrals for medication management, psychological testing, therapy for loved ones or other household members, groups & EMDR services as needed and appropriate.

If you are curious, hesitant, or intimidated about seeking therapy, I am here to help. I create a nonjudgemental, safe and confidential space where you can freely express yourself without fear, judgment or criticism. This space is dedicated solely to your well-being, where you can explore your emotions, build your self-esteem and cultivate self-compassion. If you value a creative and holistic approach to therapy, we may integrate art or other expressive techniques like mindfulness. I am passionate about trauma and women's issues. My training and experience allows me to navigate the complex needs of survivors of all ages, including young survivors. One area of particular interest to me is the mind-body-spirit approach. These therapies focus on the body's wisdom in healing trauma and provide a holistic approach to recovery. As part of Wellspring Therapeutic Partners, I regularly consult with our team of therapists, prescribers, and psychologists who specialize in a variety of areas. I can provide seamless referrals for medication management or testing, though we always welcome and encourage you to keep working with your outside provider if helpful.

I am a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional and Somatic Therapist specializing in anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties. I graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work and began her clinical and educational experience as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor that eventually expanded into varying components of relational, emotional and physical health: attachment sources of relationship issues, women’s specific needs, anxiety, depression and something that has lied in the forefront of many decisions and experiences for folks, the expression of undigested experiences and aspects of self (trauma). My passion is helping people gain a deeper sense of who they are and teasing through varying layers within themselves to have clarity and understanding around the conditioning, experiences and belief systems that continue to play out in their lives, how this affects each person and choosing how to move forward. Therapy sessions are designed to be supportive in the present as well as gently getting to the root of what’s happening, expanding beyond the symptoms on the surface, but the deeper experiences, emotions, and patterns that have shaped how you move through life. In working with me, there is a slowing down and listening to what’s really happening underneath the struggle, so you can begin to understand yourself in a fuller, gentler and compassionate way.

I am here to listen, understand, and help you get through this difficult time. Non-judgmental, empathetic, and willing to meet you where you are at each session, I am here to help you see things differently, help you change your mindset, and help you think, feel, and process important things in your life.
