Hi, I’m Leigh (pronounced Lee). I’m a clinical social worker based in Honolulu, HI and licensed in all 50 states. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. CBT helps clients recognize that it’s not necessarily the things that happen to us that cause us to struggle, but how we think about these things. When we learn that our first reactions to difficult subjects may be limiting, we can work to change and grow our perspectives. Subsequently, this allows us to feel differently and cope in more helpful ways. As a therapist who loves to travel, I’ve lived in many places in the US (including the Southeast, DMV, Midwest, PNW, and now Hawaii) and have traveled extensively outside the US. I strive to understand cultures I’m not familiar with and have been honored to learn and hold space for clients from many different walks of life. I enjoy working with clients to meet their goals. I am a Licensed Psychologist and the CEO of Create Outcomes and have over 20 years of experience helping people of all ages from a variety of backgrounds. I have also supervised other clinicians for over 10 years. I co-host What It Takes To Heal, a podcast that aims to demystify the therapeutic process and details what successful therapy looks like. I've served as a director in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, non-profit organizations, and in juvenile justice programs. The C.R.E.A.T.E. Outcomes model was informed by this work as a way to provide care that is self aware and aligned with the client's values, while also systematically tracking progress.
