Since 2011, I’ve been providing practical, evidence-based support to individuals looking for ways to feel more grounded, calm, and in control of their daily lives. If you feel exhausted trying to care for both yourself and others and overwhelmed trying to complete your never-ending to-do list, I can help you find the insight, routines, and skills needed for the balance you deserve. My approach is feminist at its core and is also LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and HAES-affirming and culturally responsive. I integrate mind-body, cognitive-behavioral, and attachment-based techniques and skills for change. I provide virtual therapy to California, Oregon, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Florida. I am Shahrzad "Shery" Shadmani, dual board-certified in Psychiatric-Mental Health and Family Medicine with over 15 years of experience providing holistic care to patients across a wide range of health and mental health conditions. Having worked in diverse healthcare settings, I have developed a deep understanding of chronic conditions and mental health challenges, with a special focus on addressing their root causes. In my integrative psychiatry practice, I combine medication management and lifestyle optimization to empower patients on their wellness journeys. My approach ensures that every patient feels seen, heard, and supported from diagnosis to treatment. I earned both my FNP and PMHNP post-master’s degrees from Purdue University, and I've been passionate about healthcare since I began my career in 2007. My journey into mental health was sparked by a desire to treat complex cases with compassion, which led me to create an integrative practice that blends mental and physical health care. I specialize in treating anxiety, mood disorders, and chronic health conditions through an evidence-based, patient-centered approach. Outside of my practice, I’m an avid foodie with a passion for cooking and traveling. Exploring new cultures and cuisines enriches my perspective on life and informs my approach to wellness.

I’m not the kind of therapist we envision from classic tv shows with the couch & the nods and smiles. I’m pretty active in session. I‘m curious and investigative and I want to dig in deep so your understanding and compassion for yourself can start to emerge and aha moments can begin. I am an EMDR-trained therapist helping women and teen girls eliminate shame, heal trauma, improve depression and anxiety symptoms, gain self-esteem, and experience hope for the future. I use somatic and attachment-focused EMDR, evidence-based psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral interventions, as well as compassion and non-judgement, to improve your current symptoms and heal the root of your issues.
