What's your approach to anger management, and what does progress look like for clients?
I view anger as a signal that something deeper needs attention rather than something to simply eliminate. My approach begins with understanding the underlying factors contributing to anger, whether they stem from stress, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, or life challenges. Together, we identify triggers, recognize patterns, and develop practical coping strategies that help patients respond thoughtfully instead of reacting impulsively.
Using evidence-based techniques, psychoeducation, and, when appropriate, medication as part of a comprehensive treatment plan, I help patients build emotional regulation, communication skills, and healthy ways to manage difficult emotions. Progress looks different for everyone, but often includes fewer emotional outbursts, improved relationships, increased self-awareness, greater confidence in handling stressful situations, and the ability to respond to challenges with greater calm and control.
