What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?

So a little bit of what it's like to work with me. I first love to work on just building that trust and that connection between you and I, so that you feel completely safe being able to talk about whatever it is that you came into therapy to explore or to address and recover from that feeling that you are able to be comfortable in your own skin and in that space with me is super important and that's where I always start with my clients. The next thing is I like to really get an assessment of your strengths and talents, your innate abilities and the qualities that make you special. These are things that we come back to time and time again and I'm always kind of building sort of my, my internal mental model of of you and what you bring in those different ways, because I like to help my clients access those things when we're talking about areas that are much more difficult, right and finding ways to translate the special skills and abilities from one area to another. That's a lot easier said than done so I love to support my clients through that process, and eventually it becomes something that they get really good at like replicating and catching that and learning how to do that for themselves. And so that's a big part of the work that I do. I also love to use mindfulness and yoga if you're comfortable with that to help you get unstuck and access different parts of your emotional and spiritual body, so that you're able to really process emotions and even past them, maybe kind of resigning in your system and haven't really worked their way through. I'm a strong believer that things need to be expressed. Not in a haphazard way right not in a careless way, but there's a way in which we need to express and kind of move experiences through our systems so that we can really be free of them, as well as have better control over how they impact us being able to use them for great information as opposed to being controlled by those things. So that's a huge part of the way I work as well. And I also have just an extensive humungous toolbox of coping skills and different exercises and homework. I do assigned homework that I love to use for my clients. And again it's all in service of getting them relief as quickly as possible so they can go back to, like they recognize themselves right and that they are happy to be, you know where they are at this point in life. And so that they can begin to see a way not only just through the current situation. But to begin to work on goals that they have for themselves into the future, like getting excited about what else is possible, and being able to explore those things as well. So that's a little taste of what it's like to work with me. If that sounds like a great fit for where you are today, please don't hesitate to reach out and give me a call.

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I take a holistic approach to prescribing psychotropic medications. I understand the importance of not just treating symptoms but also addressing the underlying causes of mental health conditions. That's why I practice integrative psychiatry, which combines traditional psychiatric care with alternative and complementary therapies, such as mindfulness, meditation, and nutrition. When prescribing psychotropic medications, I consider not only the patient's symptoms but also their overall physical and emotional well-being. I consider any other medications the patient may be taking, as well as any potential interactions or side effects. I also work closely with other healthcare providers, such as primary care physicians and nutritionists, to ensure that the patient receives comprehensive care. In addition to medication management, I provide counseling, therapy, and other evidence-based interventions to help patients manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being. I encourage my patients to actively participate in the treatment planning process and make informed decisions about their care. It's important to note that medication may not be the only solution for every patient and that, in some cases, alternative therapies may be more effective. Therefore, I work with my patient to create a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific needs and preferences. The ultimate goal is to provide the patient with a comprehensive and holistic approach to care that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of mental health.

What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
Working with me can be fun at times, yes I said it "fun!" I have a great sense of humor and I'm often laughing at myself, including laughing with clients. I can also "get down to business," with being fully present and compassionate, with the issues clients are dealing with.
Welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide Telehealth services, throughout the state of California. I enjoy working with people who are emotional caretakers, in their intimate relationships, with their family members and friendships. They take on too many responsibilities, with not knowing how to say no to others. They are doing ALL*THE*THINGS, to please everyone, they self sacrific their own needs, and they themselves are emotionally and physically exhausted daily. They want to find a work-life balance, but struggle hard to imagine how to even begin to do this. I also help those who are in narcissistic abusive relationships, and want to end their toxic relationship. This is where I come in, to help clients find their voice, learn how to identify their feelings, needs and wants, and to communicate it, in their relationships. I work with clients on learning how to build boundaries, to prevent returning to old behaviors and patterns, that have kept them stuck, tired, anxious and not living the life they dream of. I am a big advocate for self care; emotional, physical and spiritual. I love helping clients develop their own self care plan, so they can care for others, while prioritizing and caring for themselves.
