I have a passion for supporting individuals by encouraging changes, healing, and empowerment. I have had the fantastic opportunity to practice as a mental health therapist and share my expertise by delivering educational services in Palm Beach County for over six years. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from South University, and I currently hold a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I am currently completing an EdD with an emphasis in Behavioral Health at Grand Canyon University. I have experience working with children and families, adolescents, adults, couples, and groups. My approaches to therapy are client-centered, solution-focused, humanistic, and strengths-based. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, domestic violence, promoting maternal mental health during pregnancy, cultural bias, racial equity, child abuse and neglect, Motivational Interviewing, Brazelton Touchpoints, Infant Mental Health Levels 1 & 2, Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR trained therapist), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and I am dialectical behavior therapy informed.  I have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and abuse, anxiety, depression, stress, and co-occurring disorders. I have also worked with clients dealing with single parenthood, partner relational conflict, childhood and generational trauma, grief, and loss issues. I specialize in child-parent/family issues and domestic abuse (intimate partner violence).  I believe that it is essential to treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. As a nation, we must work towards reducing the stigma around mental health and mental illness so that we can begin to break generational trauma.

Hi there, I am so glad you're here. I understand how daunting it can be to take steps towards healing. Perhaps you feel misunderstood by the people around you. Or perhaps you are accustomed to confronting problems on your own, without the help of others. Whatever you might be facing, I want to assure you that you are not alone. I am honored to walk alongside you as you step outside of your comfort zone to embark on your journey to growth and self-discovery. I offer warm and collaborative therapy to individuals and couples who are seeking to work through past traumas, difficult emotions, communication, and challenges with identity. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I strive to create a space where you are able to be your authentic self and explore the nooks and crannies of your internal world. If you are seeking a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your inner world, I will be there to hold and support every part of you as we put the pieces together. As your therapist, I can help you re-discover and make peace with the parts of yourself that were overlooked and perhaps pushed away due to past traumas or challenges with self-identity. In working together, you can begin to redefine yourself in ways that feel empowering, authentic, and aligned. Whatever it may be, you are not alone in your journey.
