Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I was told my whole life that I needed to be a therapist. I loved listening to my friends and offering genuine advice for as long as I can remember, but my life took me a different direction. I was on track to becoming a Physical Therapist when I suffered a tragic and sudden loss. After that, the only life I thought I could live meaningfully was as a therapist. I truly love what I do.
I enjoy working with clients who are seeking guidance in creating new opportunities, whether you are excited or terrified by change. I help clients learn to regulate uncomfortable or overwhelming emotions that continue to affect your relationships with others, or to develop and/or maintain interpersonal relationships, as well as those experiencing depression and looking to healthily cope with their symptoms. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am ready to help you navigate your journey in self-discovery or work with couples in need of someone who can identify with them. I am also a Marine Corps Veteran. My approach is client-centered; together we decide on your goals.. You are the expert of your life and experiences; I am here to offer guidance, tools, and therapeutic techniques. I have years of experience using CBT and DBT as therapeutic modalities, as well as Motivational Enhancement Therapy to help identify what drives my clients to seek changes. Vulnerability is strength. Seeking answers through curiosity is half the battle. With my experience and your self-knowledge, we can identify problem areas, behaviors, symptoms, and emotions that could be affecting your holistic wellness. You’re in the right place; I will always work to ensure your needs are being met.

Hello, I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who enjoys working with individuals from ages 18 to 65 who are seeking a variety of treatment options to improve their mental health. In addition to medication management, I can offer several therapy and biofeedback resources to help manage and improve complex mental health issues and overall daily function. For my ADHD clients, I offer nonstimulant medications as well as biofeedback options, but I do not prescribe amphetamines for this diagnosis. I specialize in treating adults and veterans who are struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, brain injury, sleep issues, and ADHD.
