How do you work with clients with anxiety?
When working with clients who have anxiety, my approach is to create a safe, supportive environment where they feel heard, validated, and empowered. I start with a comprehensive assessment to understand the client's unique experiences, triggers, and how anxiety affects their daily life. This helps me tailor an individualized treatment plan. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety. Through CBT, clients learn coping strategies, relaxation techniques, and practical skills to manage anxiety in their day-to-day lives. I also integrate Motivational Interviewing to help clients find internal motivation for change, which can be empowering in managing anxiety symptoms.
I am a dedicated mental health professional with a strong passion for psychiatry. She has extensive professional experience in behavioral health, working with individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar and related disorders. She believes in using multiple modalities to achieve sustained relief from mental health conditions. Her educational achievements include a Masters of Science in Nursing and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University, and a Business Management degree from Pepperdine University.
