What's your experience with clients with anxiety?
As a therapist in private practice, the bulk of my work has been with clients who struggle with anxiety and depression. The thoughts, experiences, and feelings that come with anxiety and depression are palpable and often times when we are struggling through it alone, it can feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Individual therapy is a great tool to address these challenges. In my work with those struggling with anxiety, panic, and depression my client explore the root of their experience as well as learn and practice new ways to cope and respond to their triggers.
Hi, I'm Kalisha Crone and I’m a licensed clinical social worker who is passionate about supporting communities of color and helping all of my clients improve their overall well-being. My life’s journey paired with my education has afforded me countless learning opportunities that have shaped me into the therapist that I am today. I use techniques such as mindfulness, client-centered therapy, and cognitive behavioral interventions to create a safe space for my clients to process, reflect, learn, grow and eventually go forth on their own. I believe in the power of resilience and I understand that in sharing our stories and receiving the validation that we deserve we can heal the hurt and trauma we have carried for far too long. I care about you, your family, and your story. You can trust that I will treat you with respect, dignity and compassion in every interaction, while maintaining the highest standards for integrity and ethics. Please feel free to contact me for a free consult to see if we are a good fit!

How do you work with clients with anxiety?
My approach to anxiety varies depending on how it's presenting in your life, but there are a few things that are pretty consistent in my approach. * Learning to accept feelings of anxiety in the moment so you can move on, rather than getting trapped in a struggle. * Exploring your history with anxiety, and what beliefs you might have about the job it's doing in your life. If you come to a deeper understanding if your anxiety, you can reduce the power it holds over you. * Evaluating coping mechanisms, and learning effective tools for managing anxiety in the moment.
I'm a therapist in San Francisco specializing in anxiety, men's mental health, and relationship issues. I believe that effective therapy is both insightful and pragmatic - you should come away from therapy sessions with a better understanding of what you're facing, along with some ideas about how to get started on solutions. I help people find new ways of approaching their concerns so that their lives can be more manageable and fulfilling. This may mean having less conflict in your relationship, less anxiety, less negative thoughts, or making some big changes to your day-to-day life. Clients find me to be collaborative, open, and curious. I want to make sure you feel safe to explore difficult topics, and that you always feel I'm on your side, even when I'm challenging you to step outside of your comfort zone.
