How do you work with clients with stress?
Stress is often a combination of external demands and internal pressure. I help clients identify what is within their control and what is not, while also supporting their nervous system. We may work on boundaries, time structuring, and regulation tools that help your body come out of constant activation.
Dear future clients, I'm a bilingual therapist fluent in both English and Spanish, dedicated to providing compassionate support and guidance to Neurodivergent individuals (both Autism and ADHD), anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I create a warm and welcoming space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate their mental health journey. I also offer neurodivergent assessments and group counseling. I am supervised by Cassandra Holt Kimbell, LPCC- S 11336, at Freestyle Supervision and EMDR Group LLC. My approach is rooted in empathy and openness, tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I'm committed to helping individuals uncover their inner strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience in the face of life's challenges. If you're struggling with managing Autism or ADHD symptoms, anxiety and depression, or navigating significant life changes, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can work towards a brighter tomorrow, where you feel empowered to overcome obstacles and live a more fulfilling life. Reach out today and take a step towards positive change.

How do you work with clients with stress?
There is so much validity in feelings of stress, anxiety, sadness, anger, and other emotions that are typically considered "negative". Therapy can seem like we want to push all of those feelings away. In reality, I like to address both sides and support those feelings. You have every right to feel frustrated with someone or something who did you wrong, AND, you also deserve to give yourself grace and feel confidence in your decisions. It's ultimately up to you to decide what final feeling you want to end up on.
Relationships can be hard to maintain, build, nurture, and even break. Handling your emotions on top of all of that adds to your challenges. Therapy can be a life changing outlet for you to organize your thoughts and feelings to figure out what your next steps can be! Whether you are new to therapy, or familiar with the process, I'm happy to provide a new perspective with the aims of helping you with your issues. I'm hear to listen to you and your story. I specialize in helping with anxiety, depression, and relationships through a culturally sensitive lens. I believe in learning life skills and seeing how they can be integrated in your day-to-day life. Anyone can receive therapy and ANY point in life. Your story is unique and therefore, your therapy is unique! I'm ready to listen and help empower you to make meaningful changes in your life. No one knows how much you struggle inside. Despite appearing to lead a very successful life, you face a lot of stress, anxiety, and sadness that your friends, family and work colleagues would be surprised to learn. You sense that a painful experience from the past is impacting your present, but don't know how. Since you’re the type of person who can typically find yourself out of anything, it's surprising and frustrating that you haven't found a way out yet. If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right psychotherapist. I work with high achievers who struggle with perfectionism, stress, anxiety and depression. I help my clients develop a healthy inner voice, learn their boundaries, and achieve a balance between helping others and themselves. I am extensively trained and have treated a myriad of clients who have faced stress, anxiety, treatment-resistant depression and trauma. As a former corporate marketing and business development executive, I understand both the internal and external pressures placed on you to succeed. Like you, I worked in demanding, high-performance environments across investment banking, digital marketing, and technology. I hold business degrees from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and Harvard Business School. My empathic approach marries a traditional in-depth psychological approach with modern neuroscience and evidence-based research, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and hold a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Hi there, I am so glad you're here. I understand how daunting it can be to take steps towards healing. Perhaps you feel misunderstood by the people around you. Or perhaps you are accustomed to confronting problems on your own, without the help of others. Whatever you might be facing, I want to assure you that you are not alone. I am honored to walk alongside you as you step outside of your comfort zone to embark on your journey to growth and self-discovery. I offer warm and collaborative therapy to individuals and couples who are seeking to work through past traumas, difficult emotions, communication, and challenges with identity. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I strive to create a space where you are able to be your authentic self and explore the nooks and crannies of your internal world. If you are seeking a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your inner world, I will be there to hold and support every part of you as we put the pieces together. As your therapist, I can help you re-discover and make peace with the parts of yourself that were overlooked and perhaps pushed away due to past traumas or challenges with self-identity. In working together, you can begin to redefine yourself in ways that feel empowering, authentic, and aligned. Whatever it may be, you are not alone in your journey.
