Bridget C. Everett is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has completed EMDRIA-Approved Basic Training and holds the Certified Grief Therapist (CGT) credential. She has experience providing mental health services in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as residential, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs.
Her clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults, as well as families. She works with children as young as three and considers each client’s age, individual needs, circumstances, and goals when providing care.
Bridget has also completed a Certificate in Neuropsychotherapy through Online CE Credits, an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP No. 6795). The program provides continuing education in neuroscience-informed approaches to clinical practice, supporting Bridget’s understanding of the connections among the brain, emotions, behavior, and relationships.
Bridget believes counseling begins with trust, respect, and genuine connection. She strives to provide a professional, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard and understood. She views counseling as a collaborative process and works with clients to identify goals and address the concerns that bring them to therapy.
Bridget draws from a range of therapeutic approaches and considers each client’s individual needs, developmental stage, circumstances, and goals when determining how to approach treatment. Her work may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the connections among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, which can support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal skills; and mindfulness-based approaches that encourage greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, and present experiences. She may also help clients develop practical coping and emotional regulation skills to manage stress, navigate difficult situations, and better understand their responses.
Bridget’s clinical approach is informed by relational and neuroscience perspectives. She is interested in how experiences can influence patterns of thinking, feeling, behavior, and relationships, as well as how greater self-understanding can support thoughtful choices and meaningful change.
Outside of her professional work, Bridget prioritizes self-care, mindfulness practices, connection with nature, and activities that are restorative, grounding, and supportive of her personal health and well-being.
