Hello! I'm a dedicated and certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with a doctorate degree in nursing practice (DNP). I have great experience in diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. I graduated from Florida International University (FIU), one of the most prestigious state universities in Florida. My passion is to help people with mental illnesses such as major depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), schizophrenia...etc. I did my internship at Delray Center for Healing, a well-known outpatient mental health facility located in Delray Beach, Florida. Under the supervision of my preceptor, I was involved in patient intakes, treatment planning, medication management, brief psychotherapy, and follow ups for patients with mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Then, after my graduation, I started working for different employers as a psych NP. Before my psych NP career, I was a registered nurse for over 10 years. I began my nursing career at Boulevard Rehabilitation Center, where I served as a Licensed Practical Nurse in long-term care and rehabilitation units, before moving on to a staff RN role at Lakeside Medical Center in the Med/Surg and Tele units. Then, I continued my nursing journey at Boca Raton Reginal Hospital where I played different roles, including relief charge nurse and staff RN. As a relief charge nurse, I used to organize the unit, provide direct patient care, and administer medications. I also educated patients / family members and collaborated with interdisciplinary staff to ensure the best outcomes for my patients.
