How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
I work with trauma and PTSD by first creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and not pressured to share more than they are ready for. Building trust is an important part of the process, because healing from trauma often begins with feeling grounded and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and paced to each individual. For some clients, this means processing past traumatic experiences in a thoughtful and manageable way. For others, it may begin with building coping skills, reducing anxiety, improving emotional regulation, and finding ways to feel more stable in daily life before going deeper. I believe treatment should respect each person’s readiness, needs, and goals.
