What's your approach to borderline personality disorder (BPD), and what does progress look like for clients?
I approach borderline personality disorder with compassion, patience, and the understanding that meaningful change is possible with the right support. I take time to understand your experiences, emotional patterns, and relationships while working collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that fits your unique needs. My role includes thoughtful medication management when appropriate, education about BPD, and coordination with psychotherapy—particularly therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which has strong evidence for helping people build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships. Progress isn't about becoming a different person—it's about feeling more in control of your emotions and reactions. Over time, many clients notice fewer emotional crises, more stable relationships, increased confidence in managing stress, and a greater ability to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. My goal is to provide consistent, supportive care that helps you build a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.
Hello, I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a nursing career built on years of hands-on patient care and a deep commitment to serving my community. My healthcare journey began in high school as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and over time I earned my nursing degree in 2017 before completing my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2020. Along the way, I've cared for patients in hospital settings, home care, and as a travel nurse throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Since becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I've worked in both private practice and community mental health, where I've had the privilege of supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health needs. These diverse experiences have shaped my compassionate, practical approach to care and my commitment to helping each person feel heard, supported, and empowered on their path to wellness.

What's your experience with clients with borderline personality?
Many persons we saw at the hospital had Borderline Personality disorder, or it’s corresponding traits.  This is because many persons with BPD struggle with suicide and self harm. Treating those with Borderline PD tends to go hand in hand with treating the underlying trauma that can lead to the disorder. Hospital stays work to stabilize the person, long term treatment is what is needed to work through their trauma to begin their healing that is so desperately needed.
Hello!  I am a recent (May 2019) graduate of the Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. I graduated from the same school in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.  I specialized in child and adolescents throughout my school career.  For my internship, I completed hours at Cedar Crest Hospital and RTC, working with children, adolescents, and adults.  Upon graduation I got a full time job at the same hospital on the adult unit.  I became adept at working with those with schizophrenia, Bipolar, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and Borderline Personality Disorder.  I also am very experienced and knowledgeable at working with those with ADHD, autism, and various learning and developmental delays. I enjoy using a person centered approach that focuses on the person’s strength and ability to manage their daily living through skills taught in therapy.  However, I enjoy research and drawing on many other modalities to provide the treatment that would best benefit the client. I am currently an LPC-Associate/NCC, but I am less than 300 hours away from full licensure. I have experience both with the short term hospital therapy and the more chronic long term therapy aspects, having seen several clients.  I have transitioned to private practice, where I see patients both in person and via telehealth. I currently cannot accept insurance because I do not have my full license yet, but I do accept cash payment.

Accepting new patients from anywhere in Texas! Do you sometimes wonder if what you're feeling is normal? Do you wonder why you are so forgetful, why it's so hard to concentrate, or why you easily get distracted? Or maybe it's hard to get out of bed in the morning, you lack the motivation to participate in life anymore, and you can sometimes be tearful for no reason? Is it hard to fall asleep at night or do you wake up multiple times which leaves you feeling exhausted the next day? Have you experienced trauma that has left you feeling anxious and on edge? You do not have to go through these challenges alone! I would like to help. My focus areas are ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders but I treat all mental health conditions. Each individual has a unique past, present, and future. I do not believe in prescribing or treating in a "one size fits all" fashion. I value input and feedback from my patients. I am currently only accepting adult patients. I am open-minded, holistic, and solution-oriented. My hope is that patients leave their appointment feeling like their concerns have been heard and fully addressed, they were respected and not judged, they have a clear understanding of their treatment plan, and have a more hopeful outlook for their future. *Specialties •Psychiatry *Conditions treated •Depression •Anxiety •Bipolar disorders •PTSD •ADHD •Eating disorders •Personality disorders •Addiction •Geriatric Psychiatry •Insomnia •Anger Management •Female Psychiatry •Mood disorders •Obsessive-Compulsive •Pediatric Psychiatry •Trauma and PTSD •OCD •Substance abuse •Schizophrenia •Behavioural Therapy •Learning disabilities •Medication Management •Antisocial Personality •Borderline Personality (BPD) •Impulse Control Disorders •Oppositional Defiance (ODD) *Treatment philosophy I believe in treating patients holistically, taking into consideration mental, physical, environmental, and social factors.
