Jason Brown

Licensed Professional Counselor
Online & In-Person
Bryan Jason Brown, “Jason”, has a passion for working with teens and preteens, parents, and their families to help them through the everyday, and not so everyday, struggles of life. He also enjoys working with young adults as they navigate adulthood as well as helping couples thrive and grow in their relationships. Jason is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has a Master of Science in Counseling from Abilene Christian University (2000), is a Certified Mental Health Coach by the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), is a Clinical Child and Adolescent Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP-CA), received a Certificate in Mediation from Abilene Christian University (2000), and is a trained Love and Logic Facilitator. Jason’s theoretical framework is eclectic, drawing from unique aspects of various theoretical approaches, including solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral therapy, individual psychology, person-centered, family systems, and emotionally focused therapy. Recognizing that every person interacts differently, Jason uses an array of techniques, often incorporating mindfulness, games, art, projects, writing, and various other activities into therapy sessions to keep each session personalized to the client and interactive to foster growth. Jason approaches counseling with a Christian perspective, recognizing that to some people faith is very important and to others faith is not a part of their lives. Yet, Jason believes every person is a masterpiece, created by God, with a purpose to do great things, so he strives to help each person be at their best. He and his wife Cori have been married for 19 years. As a father of three children spanning elementary, middle school, and high school he can appreciate working closely with parents in teaching skills and helping families come together. He has spent much time working in the community gaining experience through working with schools and school counselors, leading mentoring groups, leading teams of volunteers, and working with many local organizations serving people. Jason spends most of his time outside of therapy sessions doing life with his family, watching his oldest two daughters play soccer, and chasing his youngest as she is as eclectic in her hobbies as he is with therapy techniques.
