I earned my Associate Degree in Nursing from Prince George’s Community College, my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Bowie State University, and my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Brandman University. Currently, I am licensed to provide care to clients residing in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. I specialize in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, medication management, and individualized treatment planning across the lifespan, serving children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My clinical expertise spans a wide range of behavioral and mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, sleep disorders, OCD, and substance use disorders. Integrating my extensive background in both family medicine and psychiatric care, I approach mental health from a whole-person perspective. I carefully evaluate the complex interplay between physical health, emotional well-being, lifestyle, and psychosocial factors to deliver truly holistic care. Guided by an evidence-based and patient-centered framework, I work collaboratively with each individual to design practical treatment plans aligned with their specific goals and values. I am deeply committed to creating a respectful, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel fully heard, valued, and empowered as active partners in their care. My goal is to support my clients in achieving greater emotional stability, enhanced daily functioning, and a higher overall quality of life.

How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
In Trauma therapy we will: Use a variety of methods, to help you manage your emotions, reduce your feelings of distress, and challenge unhelpful thoughts Practice using non judgmental mindfulness and acceptance techniques to be aware of what your feelings are telling you. This will allow you to understand that your feelings are valid and serving a purpose Use story telling, journaling, and other creative methods to tell your story, break your “monster” down to size, and regain your courage Identify your strengths, values, and ways you are your own superhero Create an action plan using tools such as narrative therapy and prolonged exposure to face the reminders you’ve been avoiding and help them feel less all consuming.
Like the name of my practice, I believe individuals are also capable of blooming throughout even the most difficult of circumstances. I specialize in working with adults struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression, and trauma. This can appear as feelings of guilt, feeling like you're dragging through life, future tripping, or thoughts taking up residence in your mind rent free. During our sessions together we will work towards achieving your goals. This process will allow you to decompress from life’s daily struggles while learning skills to find your peace and happiness. As a therapist it is my goal to help individuals have a better understanding of themselves, process past pain, and feel confident in moving through life.
