Accepting new patients from anywhere in Texas! Do you sometimes wonder if what you're feeling is normal? Do you wonder why you are so forgetful, why it's so hard to concentrate, or why you easily get distracted? Or maybe it's hard to get out of bed in the morning, you lack the motivation to participate in life anymore, and you can sometimes be tearful for no reason? Is it hard to fall asleep at night or do you wake up multiple times which leaves you feeling exhausted the next day? Have you experienced trauma that has left you feeling anxious and on edge? You do not have to go through these challenges alone! I would like to help. My focus areas are ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders but I treat all mental health conditions. Each individual has a unique past, present, and future. I do not believe in prescribing or treating in a "one size fits all" fashion. I value input and feedback from my patients. I am currently only accepting adult patients. I am open-minded, holistic, and solution-oriented. My hope is that patients leave their appointment feeling like their concerns have been heard and fully addressed, they were respected and not judged, they have a clear understanding of their treatment plan, and have a more hopeful outlook for their future. *Specialties •Psychiatry *Conditions treated •Depression •Anxiety •Bipolar disorders •PTSD •ADHD •Eating disorders •Personality disorders •Addiction •Geriatric Psychiatry •Insomnia •Anger Management •Female Psychiatry •Mood disorders •Obsessive-Compulsive •Pediatric Psychiatry •Trauma and PTSD •OCD •Substance abuse •Schizophrenia •Behavioural Therapy •Learning disabilities •Medication Management •Antisocial Personality •Borderline Personality (BPD) •Impulse Control Disorders •Oppositional Defiance (ODD) *Treatment philosophy I believe in treating patients holistically, taking into consideration mental, physical, environmental, and social factors. Recognizing that every person interacts differently, Jason uses an array of techniques, often incorporating mindfulness, games, art, projects, writing, and various other activities into therapy sessions to keep each session personalized to the client and interactive to foster growth. Jason approaches counseling with a Christian perspective, recognizing that to some people faith is very important and to others faith is not a part of their lives. Yet, Jason believes every person is a masterpiece, created by God, with a purpose to do great things, so he strives to help each person be at their best. He and his wife Cori have been married for 19 years. As a father of three children spanning elementary, middle school, and high school he can appreciate working closely with parents in teaching skills and helping families come together. He has spent much time working in the community gaining experience through working with schools and school counselors, leading mentoring groups, leading teams of volunteers, and working with many local organizations serving people. Jason spends most of his time outside of therapy sessions doing life with his family, watching his oldest two daughters play soccer, and chasing his youngest as she is as eclectic in her hobbies as he is with therapy techniques.
