How does psychodynamic therapy work, and what do sessions look like?
Psychodynamic therapy explores how past experiences, relationships, emotions, and patterns may influence the way you think, feel, and respond in the present. Sessions provide a supportive space to reflect on these patterns, build greater self-awareness, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. Together, we may explore what is happening beneath the surface while connecting those insights to your current goals and challenges.
I have 15 years of experience working in mental healthcare, with a primary focus on addictions and eating disorders. I provide individual, family, and couples therapy for those seeking support with their own addiction or the addiction of a loved one, as well as eating disorders, trauma, and fertility issues.
My approach incorporates both top-down and bottom-up methods, using Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I aim to support clients in understanding their experiences while developing practical tools for healing and meaningful change.
