How can you provide EMDR remotely?
I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy remotely using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform designed specifically for virtual EMDR sessions. This platform allows me to guide you through the EMDR process while providing the same level of effectiveness as in-person therapy.  What a Remote EMDR Session Looks Like  1. Preparation & Check-In: We start by discussing how you’re feeling, reviewing progress, and ensuring you feel safe and grounded. 2. Bilateral Stimulation (BLS): Using the remote EMDR platform, I guide you through eye movements, tapping, or auditory cues to help reprocess distressing memories. 3. Processing & Reflection: As we work through past experiences, we explore emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations that arise, allowing your brain to integrate the experience in a healthier way. 4. Closing & Grounding: Each session ends with grounding techniques to help you feel calm, safe, and stable before returning to your day.  What Clients Should Know • Remote EMDR Is Just as Effective as In-Person Sessions: Research shows that virtual EMDR, when done correctly, produces the same healing benefits. • You’ll Need a Quiet, Private Space: A comfortable, distraction-free environment is important for effective processing. •  You Are in Control: We move at a pace that feels right for you, and I provide support throughout the process. • Processing May Continue Between Sessions: It’s normal to experience emotions or insights after a session, and I’ll equip you with coping strategies to manage this. Remote EMDR allows you to access trauma healing from the comfort of your home while still receiving structured, guided support. My goal is to ensure you feel safe, empowered, and in control throughout the process.
As a licensed trauma therapist, I am dedicated to helping you navigate the challenges of trauma, anxiety, and emotional distress. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where we can work together to understand and rewire trauma responses that may be holding you back. By integrating evidence-based techniques, I help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. Through our work, you can expect to gain deeper self-awareness, enhance your ability to manage stress, and improve your relationships and overall well-being. I am committed to supporting your journey toward healing, empowering you to shift unhelpful thought patterns, and maximizing your personal and professional growth. You don’t have to navigate this alone—together, we can create meaningful and lasting change in your life.

EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an empirically evidenced technique that has been shown to significantly help clients of trauma, grief, PTSD, addiction, phobias and many other issues by utilizing bi-lateral stimulation that mimics a REM sleep cycle. Disturbing events are able to be “reprocessed” thus lessening and many times diminishing negative cognitions and feelings. Bri has also worked as a Psychology professor, at a local polygraph credentialing and assessment center teaching Psychology classes as well as classes on administering polygraph assessments to convicted sex offenders. Bri has taught students from all over the globe! Opening a practice that is warm, open, comfortable and non-judgmental was imperative in the formation of Mandala Counseling Services.
