What's your approach to anger management, and what does progress look like for clients?
My approach to anger management is compassionate, practical, and nonjudgmental. We’ll explore what may be underneath your anger, identify triggers and patterns, and develop healthier ways to express and manage difficult emotions. Using CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, we’ll work on emotional regulation, communication, and boundaries. Progress may look like recognizing triggers earlier, responding rather than reacting, communicating more effectively, and feeling more in control of your emotions.
Hi, I’m Shawnda Dewberry, LMSW. I offer a warm, supportive space for adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-doubt, trauma, anger, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. My approach blends compassion with practical tools using CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, journaling, and trauma-informed care. What makes my work unique is helping clients feel truly seen while also gently challenging patterns that keep them stuck. Clients can walk away with stronger coping skills, more self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, healthier boundaries, and greater confidence to move forward with clarity and hope.
