How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and a Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) therapist. I work with on helping clients with trauma learn to regulate their nervous system at the beginning of treatment as the first stage of treatment. Additionally, my clients have reported positive and lasting changes with Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidenced-based, efficient therapy for PTSD and other psychiatric conditions. It is derived from Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). The NREPP (National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices), a subsidiary of SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), determined that accelerated resolution therapy is an effective form of treatment for PTSD.
