How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
I provide a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where healing can happen at your own pace. Trauma treatment begins with building trust, developing coping skills, and creating a sense of safety before processing difficult experiences. Using evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs, I help you reduce the impact of traumatic memories, manage overwhelming emotions, and reconnect with your strengths so you can move beyond survival and toward a more fulfilling, meaningful life.
Being heard and understood is important. It’s difficult to trust your counselor or make progress if that's absent. All therapists have skills and knowledge, but who do you trust? I offer a free phone consult so you can gain a sense of who I am before committing to therapy. This is important work, which means you get to choose the best fit for you. Having worked as a therapist for almost 20 years now, I consistently receive feedback that I have a warm, calming presence. Therapy can be heavy; creativity, fun, and play are also important to healing. My style is compassionate & collaborative. I've worked extensively with busy professionals, especially in the medical and mental health fields. What makes you unique is that you are invested in self-improvement, balance, and connection. You are not here by mistake. We sometimes know what to do but need help taking steps and creating the safety to remove barriers. Then you have freedom to take charge of your life-go from surviving to thriving!

How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
I work with trauma and PTSD using a compassionate, trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and collaboration. Together, we explore how past experiences may be affecting your current thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self. Treatment is tailored to your unique needs and may include evidence-based approaches that help process traumatic experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and support emotional healing. My goal is to help you regain a sense of control, resilience, and connection while moving at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
I am the Founder and Owner of Aloe Integrative Psychology Group, where I provide compassionate, relationship-centered care rooted in curiosity, empathy, and respect for each person's unique story. My path to psychology was anything but traditional. I began my academic journey studying English Literature, drawn to the power of stories and the ways people make meaning of their experiences. Later, I worked as a cross-cultural educator in Brazil, where I developed a deeper appreciation for human connection across diverse backgrounds and perspectives. At Aloe Integrative Psychology Group, I strive to create a thoughtful and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My approach integrates evidence-based practices with a deep respect for each individual's lived experience, helping clients navigate challenges, foster self-understanding, and move toward meaningful and lasting growth.
