Hello! I'm a passionate and experienced Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) running my own private practice, Feel Better & Co., since January 2024. My journey in healthcare has taken me across various roles and locations, allowing me to gain diverse experience in both mental and physical health care. I started as a Registered Nurse, working in renowned institutions like the Cleveland Clinic-Akron General, and took on travel assignments in California, Virginia, Washington DC, New Jersey, New York, and even Hawaii. I’ve worked in Med/Surg Telemetry, stepdown units, ICU, and on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of patient care and the varied needs across different healthcare environments. I advanced my career with a Master's focused on psychiatric and mental health and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. As an NP, I’ve worked across Washington, California, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Ohio, serving patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, from community health centers to psychiatric units and urgent care. Currently, I provide telehealth services in California and Washington, making mental health support more accessible. I also have the pleasure of working alongside the wonderful therapy group, Empower, in Poland, Ohio, where we collaborate to provide comprehensive and compassionate care. My approach is always centered on you, the patient. I believe in taking the time to understand your unique story and creating a care plan that truly fits your needs. Greetings! I'm Dr. Joshua Werblin, a dedicated psychiatrist with a compassionate approach to care. My practice is a sanctuary for individuals of all ages seeking mental wellness. My journey began at The University of Chicago, where I delved into the fundamentals of society and its utopian ideals. I took a somewhat circuitous path from there, working in different fields for nearly a decade before starting to study for my medical degree (M.D.) at Tulane University School of Medicine. During those ten years, I worked variously as a biophysicist, wooden boatbuilder, IT support, astrophysics technical work, and an Auxiliary NYPD officer in Harlem. I completed a Pediatrics Internship at Tulane University, followed by a narrower focus in General Psychiatry Residency training, also at Tulane. I then received subspecialty fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Seattle Children's Hospital/University of Washington, followed by the acquisition of Addiction Psychiatry sub-specialization some years later. My career has been diverse, including roles as an Inpatient Psychiatrist, Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist, and several Outpatient Psychiatry positions in New York, Florida, and Maryland. More than half of my career has been spent serving the most underserved and marginalized populations, such as youth and women rescued from the sex trade, runaway youth, homeless families, LGBTQIA++ populations, and undocumented immigrants. Since 2019, I've been proudly serving as 'The Feelings Doctor' in my solo virtual practice, offering psychiatric care for children, adolescents, adults, and those facing addiction challenges. My commitment to you is simple: to provide empathetic, individualized, evidence-based care that supports your unique journey toward mental health wellness, whether or not you choose to use medications along the way. Let's work together to navigate life's challenges and embrace the path to healing and fulfillment.
