What's your approach to women's issues, and what does progress look like for clients?
I take a compassionate, person-centered approach to women’s issues, recognizing that each person’s experiences, relationships, responsibilities, and life circumstances are unique. Therapy can be a space to explore identity, self-esteem, relationships, boundaries, life transitions, and the pressures that can come with trying to meet everyone else’s expectations. Together, we work toward greater self-awareness, confidence, and clarity about what you want and need. Progress can look like feeling more comfortable taking up space, setting boundaries without guilt, trusting yourself, and making choices that feel more aligned with who you are.
I am accepting new clients, specializing in women and young adults. As young adults, you have it harder than ever: you’re dealing with a high cost of living, having to live with your parents longer than you’d prefer, poor job prospects, uncertainty about your career, struggling to make and maintain friendships, increasing student debt, as well as the exposure to social media and the high expectations you develop of yourself as a result. Then you have the pandemic that affected so many of you during high school and/or college, causing you to miss the big events that many were looking forward to.
I have worked with many young adults over the years and have seen first hand the stress and anxiety that all of this causes your generation. Allow me to help you navigate through these uncertain times and provide you with the tools to help you forge a path forward. Change isn’t easy, and it can be scary, but it is necessary in order to move forward.
Together we can work to identify and overcome the obstacles in your life that are preventing you from reaching your potential and realizing your goals. I can help you gain insight and develop healthy coping skills so that you may experience personal growth.
