I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping people overcome barriers and achieve goals that are important to them! I provide telehealth therapy for those in the state of TN. I strive to provide a safe and accepting environment for you to overcome barriers and achieve goals that are important to you. I have experience helping individuals living with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ specific issues, negative self-esteem, stress, and life transitions. I utilize a strengths-base goal directed approach to therapy. Dorothy (she/her) received a Master’s Degree in 2007 and PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2017, from Alliant International University. Dorothy has been working in a variety of mental health capacities since 2006. Dorothy uses evidence based practices such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Humanistic Therapy/Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Seeking Safety, Art Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis and Mental Health Education. Dorothy has broad experience providing child, adolescent, individual, group, family, and couples therapy. Dorothy is an LGBTQ+ ally, is sex-positive, and accepting of clients from all cultures and backgrounds. Dorothy accepts Insurance, EAP referrals, HSA/FSA and Private Pay. Her private-pay fee is $110/session, with some limited sliding scale slots starting at $60. Dorothy loves the ocean, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

I’ve been a Professional psychotherapist for 25 years.  I enjoy the journey of therapy with individuals, couples and families.  I see clients from all walks of life and a vast variety of issues.  My best reward is helping my clients reach their desired goals and achieve optimum emotional wellness.  I specialize in trauma related issues, as well as relationship issues.

Heather works with adults and teenage kids to help improve relationships and work through past trauma, hurt, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. Heather provides a trusting, non-judgmental environment for her clients to discover what it means for them to reach fulfillment and happiness in their life.  She is currently accepting Aetna, Cigna, Optum, and united Health Care out-of-network, and private pay clients. In her free time she enjoys exercising, playing basketball, spending time with family, and traveling.
