I am a doctoral-prepared, dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 14 years of diverse healthcare experience. I earned my Associate Degree in Nursing from Prince George’s Community College, my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Bowie State University, and my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Brandman University. Currently, I am licensed to provide care to clients residing in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. I specialize in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, medication management, and individualized treatment planning across the lifespan, serving children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My clinical expertise spans a wide range of behavioral and mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, sleep disorders, OCD, and substance use disorders. Integrating my extensive background in both family medicine and psychiatric care, I approach mental health from a whole-person perspective. I carefully evaluate the complex interplay between physical health, emotional well-being, lifestyle, and psychosocial factors to deliver truly holistic care. Guided by an evidence-based and patient-centered framework, I work collaboratively with each individual to design practical treatment plans aligned with their specific goals and values. I am deeply committed to creating a respectful, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel fully heard, valued, and empowered as active partners in their care. My goal is to support my clients in achieving greater emotional stability, enhanced daily functioning, and a higher overall quality of life.

If you’ve ever felt like your mental health care focused more on managing symptoms than understanding why you feel the way you do, you’re not alone. My approach starts with meeting you where you are, listening closely to your story, and helping you rebuild wellness from the inside out. I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with an integrative and functional approach to psychiatry. I work with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD and focus concerns, burnout, sleep difficulties, hormonal or menstrual-related mood changes such as PMDD, and those who may feel frustrated after trying treatments that haven’t fully helped. Rather than rushing to a diagnosis or prescription, I take time to understand the bigger picture. We may explore sleep, nutrition, stress, hormones, metabolic health, nutrient deficiencies, medications, lifestyle, relationships, and other factors that can influence how you feel. When appropriate, treatment may include psychiatric medication, psychotherapy, targeted nutritional or lifestyle strategies, supplements, laboratory evaluation, or a thoughtful combination of approaches. I also have a special interest in helping people who want to better understand their medications, reduce unnecessary medication burden, or explore carefully planned tapering when clinically appropriate. You deserve a space where you can ask questions, understand your options, and participate fully in decisions about your care. My goal is not simply to help you feel “less symptomatic,” but to understand what may be contributing to how you feel and build a treatment plan that makes sense for you and your life.
