This philosophy has shaped my commitment to creating an inclusive safe haven where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Understanding that each individual's path is distinct, I incorporate innovative methods such as bibliotherapy (using books, literature), cinematherapy (using television and film), and expressive arts to help you navigate sensitive experiences at your own pace. Whether you're facing challenges with ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety, or other behavioral health concerns, I offer a range of services designed to meet you where you are. With an array of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based Interventions, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and more, my goal is to empower you with clarity and resilience. Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because growing up as an asian-american with immigrant parents was really hard, but I thought it was normal. I thought struggling through multiple cultures and generational differences was normal. I wish I knew I could take up space to just be me without the pressures of guilt or shame or confusion. I have since been on my own journey of constantly learning and unlearning, healing and grieving, living and resting. The idea of investing my time, care, resources and self to holding spaces for others comes from a deep lived understanding that we all have our unique stories where most of us have not had the luxury, the language, the teaching to help us validate and navigate our own stories. As I also have my own version of this process and constantly so, I want to remind us that we are both doing it, we're trying and we're not alone in that effort and in the baby and big steps alike. My experience though laced with grief of what I didn't know and what I thought "should/had" to be also includes hope attained and lived and that is what continues to motivate me to continue. I hope that you will choose, even a baby step, to invest in yourself by reaching out for a consult because you are worth it and deserve support that will help you not only survive, but live most meaningfully to you.
Hi, my name is Hannah and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist. I identify as asian-american and have a lived understanding of struggling to hold space to just be, to exist as myself without the visceral weights of guilt/shame. I believe your story is uniquely yours and that you are worth not only existing freely as yourself, but worthy of living meaningfully as it best fits you.

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories. Even as a child, I found myself sitting beside classmates on the playground, listening closely, helping them process feelings and offering perspective in ways that felt natural and intuitive. When I met my school counselor, something clicked—I suddenly had language for what I felt called to do. From that point on, I knew I wanted to become a therapist. That clarity never wavered. Over the years, I’ve followed that early calling with intention and deep commitment. For more than a decade, I’ve had the honor of supporting individuals through some of the most courageous and transformative moments of their lives. What continues to inspire me is the resilience I witness every single day—the way people show up for themselves, even in the midst of pain, uncertainty, or self-doubt. Therapy is not just about symptom relief—it’s about stepping into growth, reclaiming power, and creating change that ripples into every area of life. I get to walk alongside people as they confront the hard stuff, untangle old narratives, and reconnect with who they are and who they’re becoming. That process is sacred, and I don’t take it lightly. What keeps me grounded and motivated is honoring that work while also honoring myself—building a business that reflects my values, working within my scope and strengths, and connecting with clients who are ready to lean in, get real, and do the work. Whether we’re processing trauma, navigating life transitions, or rediscovering purpose, I show up with authenticity, compassion, and a deep belief in your capacity for change. Helping people reach their goals, step into their power, and build the life they want to live—that’s what lights me up. And I feel incredibly lucky to do this work every day.
At Path to Growth Therapy, I’m dedicated to supporting clients as they navigate life’s challenges and uncover tools and strategies to foster growth and reduce symptoms. Therapy with me is a space for reflection, self-discovery, and meaningful transformation—a stepping stone to real and lasting change. My approach is straightforward and strengths-based, grounded in cultural responsiveness, trauma-informed care, and gender-affirming practices. I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where you can build a growth mindset and take intentional steps toward a more fulfilling life. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and empower you to move forward. If you’re ready to see if we’re the right fit, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to start your journey. Let’s work together to create a path toward the life you deserve!

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
Many people experience dark times in their life. For some, those dark times can lead to insight into their calling, as it did for me. I truly believe I was meant to be a therapist. I don’t remember wanting to do anything else. My journey to mental health counseling began as a volunteer group facilitator for those who have experienced intimate partner violence, physical and/or sexual abuse as a child or adult. I gained experience as an addiction counselor before entering grad school. I have 8 years of experience working in community mental health/DMH setting as an employment specialist, case manager and therapist before making the move to private practice. It’s fulfilling work to be a part of someone’s journey, no matter how dark it starts there is hope. I enjoy helping people realize their innate potential and heal.
I’m so glad you are here! My personal philosophy around therapy is that it is a tool used to help you on your journey until you are ready to let go of the helping hand and navigate your world using the coping skills, tools and resources you gained in therapy. Allow me to help you navigate through this confusing time and help you regain your confidence in yourself. As your therapist I can guide you towards improving your mood and relationships as well as strengthening your copings skills and problem solving abilities so that what once felt unmanageable is now manageable. Give me a call for a free 15 minute consultation to see if I’m the right therapist for you!
