Bridget C. Everett believes therapy is a place where people can slow down, feel heard, and better understand themselves without judgment. She brings warmth, curiosity, and genuine connection into her work and recognizes that reaching out for support can feel different for every person. Whether someone is navigating a difficult season, trying to understand long-standing patterns, or simply wanting to feel more confident in themselves, Bridget works to meet clients where they are and build from there. Bridget is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado. She has completed EMDRIA-approved basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and holds the Certified Grief Therapist (CGT) credential. She has also completed a Certificate in Neuropsychotherapy through Online CE Credits, an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP No. 6795). Bridget has experience providing mental health services across multiple levels of care, including inpatient, residential, outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization (PHP) settings. These experiences have allowed her to work with individuals with a wide range of needs and at different points in their mental health journeys. Her clinical experience spans the lifespan and includes children, adolescents, young adults, adults, older adults, and families. She works with children as young as six and considers each client’s age, developmental needs, individual circumstances, strengths, and goals when providing care. Bridget’s continued education in neuropsychotherapy supports her understanding of the connections among the brain and nervous system, emotions, behavior, relationships, and life experiences. She uses this perspective to help clients develop greater awareness of their patterns and a deeper understanding of themselves and their responses. At the heart of Bridget’s approach is the belief that counseling begins with trust, respect, and genuine human connection. She strives to create a warm, professional, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves. She views therapy as a collaborative process and works alongside clients to identify meaningful goals while respecting each person’s pace and individual needs. Bridget draws from a range of therapeutic approaches based on the needs of each individual. Her work may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore connections among thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness; and mindfulness-based approaches that encourage greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, physical experiences, and the present moment. Her work may also incorporate EMDR when clinically appropriate. Bridget has completed EMDRIA-approved basic training and uses EMDR within her scope of training to support clients in working through distressing experiences and their associated thoughts, emotions, and responses. Bridget’s clinical approach is also informed by relational and neuroscience perspectives. She is particularly interested in how our experiences can shape patterns of thinking, feeling, behavior, and relationships. She believes meaningful growth is not about never experiencing difficult emotions; it is about developing greater awareness, understanding, and confidence in how we respond to ourselves and the world around us. Bridget also recognizes that beginning therapy—and finding the right therapist—can feel uncertain. She values transparency and wants clients to feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and participating actively in decisions about their care. The therapeutic relationship should be a space where clients feel supported while also developing greater trust in themselves. Outside of her professional work, Bridget prioritizes self-care, mindfulness, connection with nature, and activities that feel restorative and grounding. She values continued learning, meaningful relationships, and making space for the same balance and well-being she encourages clients to explore in their own lives. 970-400-7319 [email protected] Psychiatric Services of the Rockies: Therapy 2121 Midpoint Dr., Ste 201, Fort Collins, CO 80525
