How do you work with clients with ADHD?
When working with clients with ADHD, I focus on understanding how symptoms affect daily life, including focus, organization, time management, emotional regulation, school, work, and relationships. I provide a supportive space to explore these challenges without judgment while helping clients build practical strategies that fit their lifestyle. Treatment may include education about ADHD, coping tools, routine-building, behavioral strategies, and medication management when appropriate. My approach is personalized and collaborative, helping each client better understand their strengths, manage symptoms, and create more structure, confidence, and balance in daily life.
With 10 years of experience in healthcare, I provide compassionate, culturally sensitive mental health care for individuals seeking support with ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, depression, mood concerns, and long-term emotional wellness. As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I understand that reaching out for help is a meaningful step toward healing, stability, and a healthier life. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where patients feel heard, respected, and understood. I offer personalized psychiatric care that combines clinical expertise with a thoughtful, patient-centered approach. Whether you are navigating a new diagnosis, struggling with daily symptoms, or working toward better mental clarity and balance, I am here to partner with you in your care.

How do you work with clients with ADHD?
I work with clients with ADHD by first taking time to understand how symptoms are showing up in daily life, whether that includes difficulty focusing, forgetfulness, impulsivity, restlessness, emotional overwhelm, time management struggles, or challenges at school, work, or home. I also look at the full picture, including sleep, stress, mood, anxiety, medical history, and any past treatment experiences, because ADHD often affects more than attention alone. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and evidence-based. Together, we explore practical strategies to improve organization, routines, follow-through, and emotional regulation. When appropriate, I also provide medication management and carefully discuss treatment options, benefits, and possible side effects so clients can make informed decisions about their care.
I’m Carine Robert, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 27 years of experience in medical and psychiatric care. I provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health treatment for children, adolescents, and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, stress, mood changes, or other emotional and behavioral concerns. My approach is supportive, culturally responsive, and centered around each person’s unique needs. I believe mental health care should feel safe, respectful, and collaborative. Whether you are seeking therapy, medication management, or a combination of both, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout your healing journey. In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you. We’ll discuss your concerns, mental health history, current symptoms, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. This is a space where you can speak openly without judgment. Together, we will explore treatment options and begin creating a care plan that feels comfortable, realistic, and right for you.
