What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
People considering working with me should know that I am deeply committed to providing compassionate and individualized care. My journey from ICU nursing to psychiatric care reflects my dedication to addressing the profound connection between mental and overall well-being. I believe in a holistic approach that integrates traditional and alternative treatments, focusing on addressing the root causes of symptoms rather than just the surface. Together, we will work to "Revive Your Mind and Soul" in a collaborative and nonjudgmental space.
As a Board Certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, my journey began in the ICU, where I gained invaluable experience caring for patients with critical medical needs. However, I always knew that my true passion lay in mental health. Recognizing the profound impact mental well-being has on every aspect of life, I pursued my advanced degree in psychiatry to better serve individuals struggling with emotional and psychological challenges. I firmly believe that mental health is the cornerstone of overall well-being. Together, we can work to ensure you achieve mental and emotional balance, paving the way for a healthier, more fulfilling life. I am excited to collaborate with each of you on this journey toward mental wellness, and I am committed to supporting you in every way I can. TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: As a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, my mission is to provide comprehensive and individualized care that extends beyond traditional medicinal treatments. Recognizing that every individual is different, I believe in creating personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient, as a one-size-fits-all approach is insufficient for optimal mental health care. Together, we will work to "Revive Your Mind and Soul" by addressing the underlying causes of your symptoms. By integrating both traditional and alternative treatment options, we will strive to enhance your mental well-being in a holistic and balanced way. I invite you to begin this journey with me, where we focus on healing without labeling emotions or limiting our understanding of mental health.

LMFT | Ecotherapist | Mindfulness Practitioner

What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
If you are considering working with me, you may want to know a little more about ecotherapy. Ecotherapy is grounded in the science of ecopsychology, which elaborates on our inborn wisdom that humans are a part of nature and that our relationship with nature predicates our mental health. Being in connection with wider nature around us can offer calm, relaxation, joy, awe, grounding, or childlike curiosity. Further, reconnecting with the animal-nature within us can help us to feel more at home in our bodies, connected with our senses, and alert to the rhythms of nature. We can also begin to recognize how the health of Earth, and the ecosystem of which we are a part, depends on us growing a reciprocal relationship. Ecotherapy then seeks to source us in nature and help us uncover our place in the interconnected web of life. It can lead us to remember ourselves not as superior to or separate from the more-than-human world, but as coherent equal members. It can be an effective approach for working with more common concerns like anxiety, depression, grief/loss, stress, and trauma. It is also particularly well suited for addressing ecological distress like eco-anxiety, eco-grief, or planetary dread.
Hello dear one. Thank you for your curiosity in seeking guidance. While I may not yet know the journey that has brought you here, I’m glad that we are crossing paths. I am an ecotherapist, mindfulness practitioner, and Earth Mama! My work is grounded in humanistic, interpersonal, attachment, mindfulness, motivational, strengths-based, and ecotherapeutic frameworks. I also appreciate philosophical, spiritual, or existential exploration, and creative expression. Blending a warm, person-centered, and gently challenging approach, I will tailor our sessions to fit your needs.

What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
I work from a place of strengths, finding out what you are doing right and moving forward from there. I don't see you as a pathology, but a human having an human experience. We all have an ideal self, contentment comes from living as best we can in that best version of ourselves.
UPDATE: not currently accepting insurance, out of network only, but lets check your out-0f-network benefits and see whats up So, you're considering therapy? I get it, things are crazy and it feels like we are living in a really bad late-night movie, complete with sad and pathetic villains. I don't have any magic over here, but I do have a place where we can hopefully get you to a place that looks more like where you want to be. I have an eclectic approach, which is a fancy way of saying that I don't rely on any one way of getting to where you want to be. But my starting point is always from a place of your strengths, the things you are already doing well; you are not your symptoms. I trend toward elements from Acceptance and Commitment, Narrative, Positive Psychology, Existentialism, Brief Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Behavioral Activation, and Mindfulness. I am progressive in my politics, a non-believer, and I welcome cursing as a means of expression. I believe that humor can get us through a lot of things. I mention this only because I have often had difficulty finding my own therapists that didn't wince when I said fuck or want to steer me in a spiritual direction. I am LGBTQ+ and BIPOC affirming and welcome folks from all backgrounds and ethnicities.
