What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
If you are considering working with me, the most important thing to know is that I see you as the author of your own life, not a victim of its earlier chapters. While the beginning of your story may feel heavy with trauma or grief, those pages matter deeply, but they do not define your whole identity. My Philosophy: Your Past Is Not Your Identity I believe that everything you’ve carried—the joy, the pain, and the survival—shapes your narrative, but it doesn’t have to dictate your future. I provide a safe, sacred space to explore how your history shows up in your present life and relationships. I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth approach that blends evidence-based tools with real talk. By diving into the connection between your mind, body, and emotions, we can understand exactly where you feel stuck.
I believe your life is a book, and while the early chapters may be heavy, they do not define your whole story. You have the power to write what happens next. My Approach I view your life as a narrative shaped by everything you’ve carried—trauma, grief, and joy alike. While what you’ve been through matters deeply, it is not your identity. I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to help you navigate your most difficult moments. In our work together, therapy becomes a safe space to explore how your past shows up in your present, especially within your relationships. By blending evidence-based tools with real talk, we’ll dive into the connection between your mind, body, and emotions to understand exactly where you feel stuck. My goal is to help you move from a place of surviving your history to intentionally authoring your future. How We’ll Work Together Healing is a journey of self-discovery—uncovering who you are and what you truly need. I hold our time together as sacred, providing a space for you to share both the positives and the negatives. Together, we will: Process Past Wounds: Ensure old traumas no longer dictate your future. Identify Patterns: Pinpoint the unhelpful cycles holding you back from genuine connection. Build Your Toolkit: Develop the skills to communicate needs and set healthy boundaries. Live Intentionally: Gain the courage to take deliberate steps toward a life of wholeness. My Commitment to You I provide compassionate and honest therapy for adults who want to change habits and perspectives that have been holding them back. I am here to empower you to truly know yourself, identify your needs, and gain the tools to express them. Your story is still being written. Let's make the next chapter your best one yet.

My approach to therapy is very laid-back but professional. If you are looking for someone who will show up to every session with a pantsuit and a notepad in hand, I may not be the best fit. I take a very collaborative approach in sessions with the goal of helping you discover what works best for you and not anyone else. I encourage all of my clients to show up how they are most comfortable, so bring that fidget, bring a snack, and show up wearing those super comfy pajamas if that's what you prefer! I have been practicing as an LPC for about 4 years and have experience in inpatient, outpatient, and high crisis environments. I value connection within the community and am happy to help you discover/access resources if needed.
Looking for safe space as a teen or adult to grow, heal, and thrive? Is your child going through puberty, having a hard time with peers, or struggling with general life changes? Are you an adult trying to navigate life's ups and downs, unresolved challenges, or just need someone to talk to? Whether it's depression, anxiety, relationships, or general life concerns, I strive to provide a space where you can be authentically yourself. Life can be challenging, and I am here to help along the way! You are encouraged to come as you are and can expect a therapeutic journey filled with empathy, laughter, and a lot of personal growth! With experience in high-crisis, residential, outpatient, and intensive outpatient settings, I offer trauma-informed care and strategies from Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. It is important that you feel connected with resources in the community, so we will explore and identify supports as needed. I am here to offer a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, valued, and empowered. Let's work together to create positive change and help you find the happiness and fulfillment you deserve. Book a free consultation today to get started!

Welcome! I'm a dedicated Nurse Practitioner passionate about delivering top-notch, individualized medical care. My holistic approach ensures that your overall well-being is prioritized, and I am committed to enhancing the quality of care while maintaining your privacy and confidentiality. I have extensive experience working collaboratively with hospice teams and empowering patients and their families with knowledge on disease management and prevention. When you work with me, you're treated as a unique individual, and together, we'll strive for your optimal health and wellness.
I’m Nycole A. Cox, a Nurse Practitioner, who works with professionals who look successful on the outside but feel completely depleted on the inside. If you’re carrying constant responsibility, making high-stakes decisions, and pushing through exhaustion because “that’s just part of the job,” you’re not alone—and you’re not broken. My path into psychiatric care became personal after experiencing burnout myself in high-pressure healthcare environments. I know what it’s like to function at a high level while feeling mentally drained, emotionally detached, and physically exhausted—no matter how much sleep you get. That experience reshaped how I care for patients and who I care for. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University and my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. I bring 12 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and 7 years as a Nurse Practitioner.
