Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because I saw how powerful compassionate support and guidance could be in someone’s life. Growing up, I witnessed people around me struggle with mental health challenges without the tools or understanding to manage them. This motivated me to study psychology and social work, wanting to make a difference by helping others find their path to healing. What keeps me going is seeing the resilience and progress in my clients. Each time someone reaches a breakthrough, builds a new coping skill, or feels even a little more empowered, it reinforces why I do this work. Therapy isn’t just a job to me; it’s a way to contribute to someone’s growth and help them discover a life that feels meaningful and balanced.

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I believe that the therapeutic process is about supporting humans in remembering, cultivating, and living into their full humanity - into who they really are. Despite the fact that life and the systems we live in make it very difficult to remember that we are already whole, worthy, and good enough, I believe that the right questions, gentle reminders, and holding sacred space can lead us to our own answers, and to the innate wisdom that lies underneath the stories that have been piled on top. As a psychotherapist and yoga teacher, I invite pain, discomfort, and repressed emotions to come to the surface and be experienced, witnessed, and let go of in a safe and nonjudgmental setting, while remaining sensitive to and curious about each of our unique lived experiences, external environments, and access to social support. When we remember, reconnect and open to the wonder and awe of who we truly are, we move out into the world wise and free. Effective therapy is not possible without a strong therapeutic relationship. Showing up to slow down, be present, and cultivate connection with oneself and others is challenging in our fast paced and technologically driven society. What I love most about my work is providing a safe space for people to connect with themselves and express their truths. This includes working to understand how your differing beliefs, lived experiences, cultural and social identities, and generational trauma interweave to manifest your daily reality and our interactions. I am deeply honored to share this space with you, and to support you in uncovering what is already within you.
Bonjour! I'm Oriane and I work with individuals and couples throughout California in both French and English. I look forward to connecting!
