Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel truly heard and supported. Many individuals struggle with feelings of isolation, often feeling like they have no one to turn to. My motivation stems from the desire to provide that safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can openly express themselves, process their emotions, and find empowerment. Seeing individuals gain clarity, develop effective coping strategies, and transform their lives drives my commitment to this work. Helping people navigate life’s challenges and witnessing their progress is deeply rewarding, and it continues to fuel my passion for therapy.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing services to individuals, adults, and families. I have been in this field for several years. I have worked in a variety of settings including in-home/in-community, outpatient, and supportive housing. I have experiencing working with depression, anxiety, parenting, stress management, LGBTQ and many more. I frequently utilize Person-centered theory, CBT skills, teach benefits of ‘radical acceptance’ and the benefits of living in the ‘here and now’. I am a believer in the wisdom of the ‘Serenity Prayer’.
