People have always been and continue to be my passion. The desire to help people gain perspective and reach their goals has been the driving force behind my career as a therapist. Throughout my career, I have gained education and experience in multiple disciplines of therapy, including substance use, family therapy, DBT, inpatient residential, inpatient crisis, community counseling, and outpatient therapy. The foundation of my approach is laid in validation, change, accountability, and acceptance. With these core elements I strive to provide a client centered approach to treatment that is both beneficial and effective to all needs and diagnosis. I utilize a diverse skillset that has been developed through continued experience and trainings. My passion is to help aid my clients in identifying who they are, where they are, and where they are wanting to get too. I work to help resolve conflict individually, in families, and/or in relationships. Each client’s story and the journey are specific to them so my goal is to shape treatment to the specific needs of each person. We will work through the difficult moments, learn skills to aid in independence, and become comfortable enough to reach out for support when something is not working. Breaking patterns and creating new ones based off the person/family/couple you strive to be is the goal of each session. I am a LPC and a Certified Anger Management Specialist II. I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, and a 2nd Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling and Sex therapy. I have extensive training in Anger management, mood disorders (anxiety/depression), family systems, ABA, , infertility, and many more. I’m always working to keep myself well-educated and eclectic. My mission is to meet each client where they are. I understand that life gives each person their own battles but I stand firm in not having to face the battle alone. Knowing there are people out there ready to help you without judgment is what drove me to be a therapist. I am that person and I can be that person for you.

My name is Shira Collings (she/they). I specialize in working with clients with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image distress, and those wanting to break free from diet culture. As a diet culture dropout myself, I am passionate about supporting others in finding freedom with food and body acceptance. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent folx, as well as those with substance use and trauma histories. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the Health At Every Size paradigm and body liberation. It is also informed by feminism, disability justice, and queer and trans liberation. I believe that healing comes from feeling heard, seen, and valued, and I strive to create a space in which clients can express their full, authentic selves.

I am a trauma-focused and trained psychotherapist with nearly eight years of experience. I have worked and continue to work with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, identity questions, grief, relationship issues, and immigration concerns. My role as a therapist is to provide support and guidance through life-challenging situations and to assist clients, when ready, to move their lives in the way they believe they should. Listening is a powerful tool, and one gains understanding and compassion. I offer clients the space for their voices to be heard as they seek comfort and healing.

My style tends to be collaborative, warm, attachment focused mixed with a dash of acceptance commitment theory.

I am currently a student for my Masters of Social Work. I went into my master program after receiving a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I have always had a passion to work with people of all ages since I was a child. At the age of 17 years old I started my college journey towards achieving my goal. I am still striving to master that journey till this day. It is a passion to help others. I believe if we can help one person at a time find their peace, then we can continue one after another until one day we can all find peace and happiness. Happiness is key in life. We all struggle, but in that struggle we can come out on top. In my down time, I enjoy spending time with my son. My son and I loves sports, art, music, anything to do with the water, gaming, amusement parks, and much more.
