For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
For People Who Are Hesitant to Try Therapy If you’re unsure about starting therapy, I want you to know that it’s completely okay to feel that way. Reaching out for help can feel uncomfortable — especially when you’ve learned to be the one who holds it all together. But therapy isn’t about being “broken” or needing to be fixed; it’s about giving yourself permission to heal, to understand, and to grow. Therapy is simply a conversation — one where you don’t have to filter your feelings, hide your pain, or have all the answers. It’s a safe space designed just for you — a place where your story matters, and where we work together to understand what’s been holding you back and how to move forward. You don’t have to be in crisis to start. You don’t have to know exactly what to say. All you have to do is show up — and I’ll meet you there, with compassion, respect, and patience. Healing takes courage, but you don’t have to do it alone.
Rachel Webb, LSW, LCDC III, is a licensed social worker and chemical dependency counselor who provides trauma-informed therapy at Grace to Grace Behavioral Health. She specializes in working with adults facing challenges related to addiction, mental health, and life transitions. Rachel’s clinical approach integrates evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational strategies, and trauma-informed care. With a strong foundation in case management and program leadership, she understands the importance of meeting clients where they are — empowering them to set goals, rebuild confidence, and sustain recovery. Her experience in both residential and outpatient settings allows her to bring a balanced, compassionate perspective to every therapeutic relationship.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
I would tell those hesitant to try therapy that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. It’s perfectly normal to feel uncertain or anxious about starting this journey. I encourage you to view therapy as a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Remember, every step you take is a step toward understanding yourself better and improving your well-being. My advice is to start with an open mind—allow yourself to be curious about what you might discover. It's okay to take your time; even the initial consultation can provide valuable insights. Consider what you hope to achieve and know that it's perfectly fine to express your concerns during our sessions. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. You deserve to feel heard, understood, and empowered to create the life you want.
I am working on my dissertation in a doctoral program in clinical psychology. At our practice, we understand that every child is unique, facing their own challenges and strengths. My approach, under supervision, combines evidence-based techniques with a deep understanding of individual needs, ensuring that each intervention is tailored to promote effective learning and emotional health. Services include: 1. **Educational Therapy**: I design customized learning plans to help children with learning disabilities overcome obstacles and enhance their academic engagement. 2. **Behavioral Support**: Through targeted interventions, I assist students in developing healthier behavior patterns and coping skills, fostering a positive environment for growth. 3. **Family Collaboration**: I believe in the power of a supportive network. I work closely with families, providing guidance and resources to navigate educational placements and special education services. 4. **Community Outreach**: My commitment extends beyond individual therapy. I lead workshops and training sessions to raise awareness and provide support for students with special needs within the community. Together, we can create a nurturing atmosphere where children thrive, empowering them to reach their full potential. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out and schedule a consultation. Let’s work together to build a brighter future.
